There are lots of Auck girls in the Oct mums thread who have discussed this - if they don't come to your rescue here you could chase them down in there!

I thought mechanics usually fitted them? I suppose you'd have to get one that actually knew what they were talking about!

Maybe try Bonnie's website http://www.childrestraintsafety.com - www.childrestraintsafety.com

This is what the website said:

"If your vehicle does not have a pre-installed anchor point or pre-drilled hole, then you can have a hole for an anchor point drilled by a mechanic or an approved safety belt fitter. Alternatively you can do this yourself, but please remember to check the vehicle manual for information on drilling holes for anchor bolts in the correct place or for anchor point placement, also check your child restraints instruction manual. If you are unsure, then it would be best to have a mechanic or safety belt fitter install one for you instead."

So... any mechanic?

Deez who did you use? We need to get an anchor bolt out in and I would prefer to use someone who does a good job

I would have thought you could just phone up whoever does your car maintenance work and ask them.
