Subject: Bleeding with a happy ending?
Date Posted: 26 June 2008 at 7:25pm
I started bleeding red blood this afternoon and I am having cramps. The GP told me that we probably won't know what is happening definitely for a few days but I am not holding out much hope.

Anyway, I'd still like to hear stories of people that had bleeding and cramps and still had a happy ending.

Vanillabean, I don't have anything helpful to add, but just wanted to say I hope it all turns out to just be that bean getting comfy in there.

I bled with both my girls. With Charlotte I bled at 9 weeks (red for about 2 days then changing to brown for about another 2 days- with another couple of bleeds over the next few weeks after that). With Kate I basically had every single kind of bleed from 5 weeks to 14 weeks. I had clots, red gushes, purple, brown, pink staining- I also had cramping accompanied by all of the above on numerous occasions. For those 9 weeks I never went more than 3 days without some kind of bleed. I had 6 scans over that time and they could never see any reason for it    but happy endings both times around    Made for very very stressful times though!

Thanks guys. I guess there is still some hope. Although overnight I have been really crampy and had clots this morning, so really not looking good.

Having a scan today but the GP told me at 5 weeks pregnant they won't be able to tell if it is viable because it is too early to see a heartbeat although they will be able to see if it is ectopic or clearly hasn't developed to the 5 week stage.

Over here! At 8 weeks I had a great gush of bright red blood and the cramps! Holy hell    It wasn't clotty though, I'm extremely sorry to say but another brown bleed a week later was clotty and a scan a couple of days later showed No. 9 bouncing away happy as a clam.

I have everything crossed for you, and I hope it turns out well.

Yes! With my first I bled for a solid 2 and a bit weeks. With cramps. Never found out what happened, it just did.

I've also had bleeding with this pregnancy, and everything is still going perfectly so far.

Good luck, I hope you get some good news.
