So, I was one of these naughty mums that always let her lil boy fall asleep and then carry him to bed... so I decided enoughs enough and tried to get him to self settle while he is still young.

For the past 2 weeks, 99% of the time, I have put him down whilst he is still awake. And he falls asleep alone, without grizzle every time?

What happened to that grizzly lil boy? It's magic! And do you know what else? He is cutting his first tooth too.

So proud.

Actually I was thinking that the other day (not that I mind at all having a smiley happy baby that will go off to sleep by herself).

But for at least three months I had to constantly carry her otherwise she wouldnt sleep ... then it was like a miracle happened and she didnt mind going off to sleep by herself

Well done Phoenix!! He sounds like such a good wee boy. I dont think your that naughty letting him sleep in your arms - Its so cute just watching them drift off to sleep Its good that youv'e done it while he's still young - I did it with DD#1 untill she stopped BF (about 12 months)

(And well done Issy too)

I find myself always feeding or carrying Maddi untill she would fall asleep. Last night she got so wriggly and wouldn't feed I gave up and put her to bed in fustration. I want back a minute later and found her asleep - I guess I had forgotten they dont need to be asleep before I put them down and sometimes all she wants is to be put to bed herself.

I guess he knows what is going to happen. It's wrap, kiss, put the rain cd on, put into bed, head stroke and light out.

It's great.

Yay for everyone else who is reaching that milestone too :) I just couldn't believe it.

Yay for Phoenix! Jack's the same too.

Oh no for the first tooth! Jack cut his first at 4m2w and the next exactly a week later. Now I have a feeling one of his side ones is trying to cut through
