I'm sure there must be a thread on them already, but I can't find one. I want to order one for Sophie, but was just wanting to hear a few opinions on them first, as they are expensive! Do you like them? How absorbant are they? Do they wear well? What sort of fit are they... big? small?? They look sooo cute!!
Sorry... 20 questions!
TIA!

I have one and it is pretty cool. I bought a large for Luke - he is around 10kg and 72cms... He is a big boy, but well proportioned I guess. I have it on the second snaps.
I am not too sure about absorbancy etc compared to others, but it seems to work well enough for me.
And looks very cool.cute remember!!

I have one and love it. I also have Ella in a large and is just over 10kgs (i think she was around 8kg when I got it and Pippa from snazzipants recommended putting her staight into a large because of chubby legs).
Haven't had any problems with leaks in it and like Bel said it looks very cute

Firstly - OMG Luke is 10kg?!!!! Gremlins were only 8kg at 12 mths, scrawn queens that they are!
And back to the topic...
We Berry Plush! The gremlins have 6 (2 black, 2 cheetah, 1 pink and 1 lilac) and I have also bought one for baby.
Size wize I'd say go with the bigger rather than the smaller as they are quite a trim fit. Gremlins are still in meds but they have NO thighs at all (lucky girls).
Absorbency wise they are great, last a good 3-4 hours without wicking and I bought a couple of spare snap in inserts so I don't have to change the whole nappy every time.
They are def one of my fave nappies!

I have 2 meds and a Large, and I would say there isn't much difference between the Medium and Large. Maybe a couple of cm in the rise, and an extra snap's worth of room at the side? Large is a little baggier, but not baggy, I prefer the med fit on Seb, but if he managed to grow or had a bum I'd probably prefer the large. I would say if in doubt upsize - I don't mind the large on Seb, and I do find alot of larges WAY too big for him for daytime wear (tweedles, foxys etc)
Example: (purple is med, green is large)

OMG, I love the purple one! That might have to go on the wishlist me thinks!!!
Sam has a Ocean and a dalmation spot and has been wearing them since she was around 3 months. She still fits the Smalls and they are no lower than the itti bitti delish at the front.
They are really absorbant and have worn really well. They still look brand new and the suede cloth is still lovely and minky!
Anyway, here is a photo of Sam in one of hers a long, long time ago

Thanks ladies... very helpful! Ok, I'm sold!! I think I will get a large, Soph has quite chunky thighs, even though she is only 7.5kgs. But she will grow into it if it's too big now, and also I want to use it as a spare cover over her DB fitted.
Bel, tweedle only has one colour (jaguar??) left in a large, so I will have to order from snazzi - unless Rachel is getting more in??
Now - how to convince DH (Ok, why am I bothering to think up an excuse, I will do what I have done with all my new nappies lately, hide them amongst all the others, and pretend I've had it for ages!!)

had a look last night at tweedle and then snazzi.......maybe not good sellers because of the price? that's put me off getting one now, i didn't realise they were that much probably worth it, but i just can't justify it

Yeah... I've bought 1 of mine 2nd hand, 1 on sale @ tweedle, and another 2nd hand but never used. $40 is waaaay too much for them in my opinion!

! bought my 6 meds from Snazzipants but I did get 4 of them with a voucher I won, and I bought the small from Tweedle on special. They do work out good value if you use the extra snap in soakers tho, they're only $14-odd and mean you can reuse the same cover.

It sounds similar to the D'lish system too Emma - how do you rate Berry Plus vs D'lish, considering the BP is $5 more?

Yes I thought I would get an extra booster to make it more economical, but I do agree they are expensive! I will only be getting one I think!

I don't like the baggy look at the front of the Berry Plush - it's probably to do with it being side-snapping, do you think? All my nappies are front-snapping, except for my DB fitted but that's really slim cut through the front and is so heavily boosted that it's filled out really well.

I haven't tried the d'lish yet as I bought it for baby, it's a med and I doubt it would fit the gremlins so can't really compare the two performance wise.
Appearance wise tho, the med D'lish is much trimmer thru the crotch than the small Berry Plush, a good 3/4 inch narrower. The minky stay dry layer on the Berry Plush feels much softer than the stay dry layer on the D'lish, but then I use liners anyway so that's not an issue for us. Drying time on the inserts is about the same for both. Berry Plush insert is a bit of a PITA to fold coz you have to tuck the hemp layers under the minky layer, but then the D'lish has 3 snap in parts so that could be a PITA too.
Pretty comparable I'd say, but without having tested the D'lish it's hard to make a call if one is better than the other.

Emma - Seb fits the med, and he seems to have a similar body type to the gremlins (no bum, skinny legs, skinny tummy? LOL) So they might fit it. I honestly didn't believe it'd fit till I tried it on him!

I have 6 and I love them I haven't paid more than $25 for them off trade me and they are by far the best nappies we use. They look great, (always important), absorb heaps of wee, can leave Fay a good 4 hours where we only get by on about in all other combinations and I love that I can get away with only changing the insert.
For second hand (some had more previous use than others) you really can't tell, they wash up really well. My only gripe would be the length of time they take to dry in winter - a couple of days usually on an indoor rack
I can;t compare to any of the other similar nappies on the market, tho but rate them highly above my other PUL pocket nappies and fitted
