of you out there actively TTC?

I am really interested to know because there seems to be loads of people that come out of the wood work now and then and it would be nice to meet others on the forum. I know there are the usual ones that post but I suspect that there are a number of ‘readers’ out there that may be too shy to post or have just not had the opportunity, this is it! Tell us a little about yourselves.

My DH and I have been ttcing for 3 months now, this will be our first. I'm originally from South Africa but met my DH while doing my OE in the UK. He is originally for Christchurch where we live now.

Hi we are actively trying, we have one daughter who is 26 months old. It took us three years to have her so are hoping for a much shorter time for baby no:2!!

Well im pretty sure peopleknow who I am now but ill join in anyway Dh and I are now actively TTC number one. We are in our mid 20's and Im a Type one diabetic. I have spent the last year getting my diabetes under control before we TTC'd. Doctor gave me the green light to ttc last month, so DH and I decided to finish off the last of my BCP and I took my last BCP pill on Friday
We know that ttc can take time so arent getting our hopes up for any movement on the baby front for a few months yet but i still cant seem to wait!!! IM very very excited that we are finally making the move forward

Hi MummyMegs
My Dh and I have been TTCing for 18 months now. I have just been referred to the Oxford Clinic for really bad AF pain and clots etc and my GP has also been talking to the fertility people and they have asked that we do CD3 and CD21 bloods and then proceed from there. I'm an Aussie but my DH is a kiwi so we also live in Christchurch.

MoosMum - I've heard from a couple of my friends that #2 took a fraction of the time #1 took. So I'm hoping this is the case for you too.

Almostthere - you should get a ticker, if you sign up to ff(http://www.fertilityfriend.com) it will automatically update it for you and you don't have to know your cycle length or temp. It is anyway good to chart for future reference. I did not start from the beginning but wished I had.

Emily281 – good luck and hope it is all sorted soon

My DH and I live in ChCh and are 31 and 32, trying for our first baby.

I came off the pill at the end of Feb but this is our first proper month trying, due to an irregular cycle to begin with.

(oh yeah, and Mummymegs and I work together)

Good luck to everyone!

We aren't trying yet, in fact we have to do everything not to get preggers. But we will be trying in September (after AF has arrived for that month anyway). We can't wait. Waiting for September is taking forever!

Hi! DH and I have been actively TTC our first bubba since December '07. Conceived in Jan but m/c in March, and still trying to get preggers now. We are both from Wellington (and live there now) but met in Dunedin at a mutual friend's 21st. He was living in Dunedin then, and I was at uni in chch. I'm 25 and he's 27

We are just starting TTC this month. My DH and I are both 32 and this will be our first.
We live in Auckland.
Im really worried about how long it will take us TTC as I have a lot of friends that have had no luck and are on IVF etc.
Annoyed as my DH travels a lot for work and he will be in Oz for a week and guess what...its the week of my most fertile days. So its not looking too good for this month.
Another thing is that we are going on holiday to Fiji at the end of the month and that is when AF will be due so could be a huge downer while we on holiday!

I'm a bit of a regular on here but will add my two cents since I fit the criteria!

I'm 31, DH is just about 38 and we've been TTC #1 or 18 months now. Managed a BFP in December last year but mc'd on Boxing Day... we had our first fertility specialist's appointment end of last month and I'm due to have Laparoscopic surgery to confirm and excise endo (suspected Grade 3) - though this was meant to be next Tuesday it has just been postponed.

We live on the Kapiti Coast, work in Wellys but I'm originally from Hamilton and DH from Nelson - we met while working together at Christchurch Casino!

Hi ttc ladies. I've been here for a while now. We've been trying since Feb 07, so what feels like a very long time I'll be 29 this month (yay! I love birthdays!) and DH is 9 months younger than me. We got married in Dec 06. It's getting frustrating now so we've told a couple of people IRL which has been good. Anyone else told 'real life' people (hope you all know what I mean lol)

Hi. My DH and I are TTC #2, starting this month Unfortunately, my AF is still irregular and long (probably due to me still BFing). I'm 31 and my DH is 37, we got married in March 2006.

Good luck to all of you and most importantly - have fun!

Hi there, I'm 30 and DH is 29 and we've been TTC since Nov 07, but no luck yet.

I find this board helps especially with the TWW as it's fun hearing all the BFPs and it makes me think mine is just around the corner.

I post occassionally, but browse mostly. Too shy at this stage... (not at all like me IRL).
DH (26) and I (30) are *planning* on actually trying this cycle. We've been married 3.5 years and I've been off BCP since Oct last year.
Either one of us might yet still wimp out...It's a BIG decision...

We're not actively TTC yet, but will be at the end of this year....hopefully, fingers crossed and everything else, that when our wedding rolls around I will be a newly pregnant bride (as in, in the first 3-4 months). DH and I are actively TTC.
I have lost count now but we have been TTC for about 10 months now I think?

We are mids 20's.

We may have a possible fertility issue to contend with but we are happy to keep trying as we are for the next year or so, after that I may have completely lost it and adopted something/someone else to love!

Hi

I am more of a lurker. Me and DH have been TTC since August 07, what doesn't help is that I haven't had an AF since Feb 17, another specialist appt next week to try and figure out whats going on but bloods have indicated I am not ovulating.

Knowing other people go through the same mind games ttc makes me feel a bit more normal

Hi
I'm new. My DP and i are mid 20's and been together for 8 years. Been trying since April 2006. Just started the 'investigation" stage, and it sucks.
!!!Why is there only ONE medi-lab clinic that can do the sperm tests in Auckland (Greenlane)!!! Having to sit in traffic for 45 minutes with a super grumpy boy witha cup of sperm down his pants is NOT fun...!!! I'm i the only one???

Will start TTC again soon, just waiting for first cycle and also hubby not so keen anymore and wants to wait a little bit - don't think he liked the hormonal and perhaps b**chy wife that came along

Will see once i have my first cycle tho but may wait for two.

I'm a bit of a lurker these days, as work and study is taking up most of my time, and I can't get on to OHBaby at work.

DH and I got married just under 3 months ago, I had planned to stop BCP and start TTC this month as I turn 35 on the 25th.

But due to financial issues - ie car loan and credit card debt from the wedding, we are having to delay 12 months before we can TTC.

Its weird to think of myself as an older first time mum, having my family in my late 30's wasn't something I'd planned on, just turned out that way.

We have a nearly 10month old but wanted to try for number two now as it took us 7 years of 'practicing' to fall pregnant the first time.

I am hoping this time is a bit quicker

He he, I can so relate to the trials and tribulations of the sperm analysis. We haven't managed to do it yet. In Wellington the only medlab that does it has decided not to accept sperm samples on Saturdays because they were getting too busy.

I'm also a fairly regular poster. I am 35 and DH is 40. We met on an online dating site in 2004.   We started ttc in March 07, got married in Sept 07 (we were having a Vegas wedding and were hoping for the extra trash factor of a heavily pregnant bride ), finally got pregnant in Jan 08 but miscarried a few days after finding out. I am just starting to get the serious fertility investigations and when we finally manage the sperm analysis we will be off to FA to see a specialist.
