Just a quick question - I have some OSFA pockets (very similar to BG) and they seem to leak at the elastic round the thighs... any thoughts?

I have been using a cotton babies MF insert with hemp one as well. Often the inserts are not full, but sides are wet... only wets clothes if they are touching the sides...

Am I doing somthing wrong?

Are they the cheap white ones from TM? If so, I have one and I HATE it. I've probably only used it a dozen times max and it's only used in emergencies. I find that when the inserts get wet they bunch up in the middle, causing leaks - not only out the legs holes but up the front of the waist and also right through the PUL! Also, the velco is not super-sticky, which annoys me. Sorry, that turned into a bit of a rant - hopefully someone else might be able to give you some good advice!

You could try soakers/longies. If they're wicking, that should stop the odd leak. And they look gorgeous as everyday pants on wee bubs like yours And so warm in winter!

My tweedles seem to do this when the inserts bunch a bit and theres nothing right by the outside of the leg so the pee wicks around. I tried one of those naps aaaaages ago and wasn't impressed so I ditched it. But while I had it I noticed they work best if they have the perfect sized insert for it.. so one that is made to fit that nappy perfectly (just like my inserts are made to make sure they fit my naps)

yeah thanks Stacey. I have been using the inserts that came with them, but they are only hemp - so have to add MF... They aren't too bad, if I catch them in time, don't leave on for too long...

Oh, that might explain it - Hemp absorbs fairly slowly, so the pee can leak out before it absorbs if it's on it's own. Might work alot better with m/fibre in there too!

Maybe I should forward this to my cousin - she laughed at me when I told her how much I paid for my BG as she'd bought the ones off TM (has bought a whole lot and bubs isn't even here yet).

But anyway, sorry for you as that sucks! I looked at them but was way to sceptical at how they could work as well as BG at half the price so ditched the idea.

Oh Bugga Bel! I think the cotton babies inserts you are using are a pretty decent size too. Have you tried a different insert combo? Maybe 2 MF will work? I use 2 MF during the day for Alex - no hemp - and it works really well. You could try it on a bigger size setting maybe, so the rise is bigger, to see if that helps the tummy problem? Otherwise I would try a soaker or longies too!

If nothing else, it's a GREAT excuse to buy more nappies

Maybe try stripping them too??? ...if the wee is running off the fleece and straight out the legs?

Hmm they aren't that bad that I am not using them... So I still think that they are worth it - I paid half the amount that BGs are - and they still last around 3 hours...

On a more positive note - I got 4 fuzzi yesterady and I like them already!! They are the Mexico ones, but last longer than the OSFA so I'm happy!

I know plenty of people that have had trouble with the V2 version of BGs too - particularly the elastic going in the legs - so I'd only buy them from an authorised dealer if I was going to invest in the real deal.

I don't know about V2 but I have V3 and they're fab, actually hold more than sposies which I'm impressed about.

I just read my post again - man I sounded like a b**ch! Sorry about that Bel
