i came off depo 5 months ago and AF and spotting still has no regularity. would it be worth me doing the whole temp thing to find out whether i am ovulating. i really want to get pregnant but i dont know if i can and if it is worth getting my hopes up if my body isnt ready for it. any suggestions on what i should do or what other people have done after depo

I can't remember what happened after I came off the depo as it was about 10 years ago now. But as I never had problems with my cycle back then, I can only presume it went back to normal pretty quickly.
Temping would be an idea. But maybe also some bloods from your doctor as this would determine if your are ovulating.
Not much help am I lol
Good luck!

How long you were on the depo can also affect it - first time I was on it for 9 months and it took about that long for AF to come back, and then it was irregular for a few months. Last time I was on it for 3 months, it took 2 and a half months for AF to come back with a vengeance and I've had a 28 day cycle since.

I was on depo for about a year (maybe not quite) and i came off it to get preggas with #2 but it took 14 months to regulate AF, 12 months to even get AF!!!
I too was eager to start so i did chart but really just confussed myself even more as AF does play a BIG part in charting!, i did end up getting pregnant before AF had even come (wouldve been the 2 weeks before AF was due seen as i all of a sudden ovulated!) but i misscarried and after disscussing with docs and having scans it was more than likely because there was too much build up in there from having no AF for so long and bubs couldnt hold on so it really is best to get AF...no harm in charting though i guess..
You could maybe talk to your doc about getting Provera to reverse it??? not sure it thats possible but i remember being told that it can take from 3 months - 2 years!! different for everyone though..
good luck
