Just wondering...can you use the inserts and trifold thingies for pockets in a prefold cover? Are they ok agains baby's skin?
If not, is there a liner I could try so I can use the inserts?

I think it feels nasty and dries their skin out hardout - I know I hate the feeling of it on my hands when I'm stuffing the pockets

You could make some polar fleece liners by getting the fabric and just cutting it to size. Or if you're lazy like me you could buy them.
Snazzipants sell them for about $1 each.

You can use hemp or bamboo inside your prefolds, they should be fine.
