Help needed desperatly.
Kylah wont stop screaming when we put her to bed. I took her to the doctor last week to get her ears rechecked they said they are fine, yet everytime i put her to bed she creams and screams, and she wont stop untill you pick her up. Shes pulling her ears still.
Iv given her pamol, she doesnt have a temp, she just wont stop screaming.
Im stressing out so bad i just want to cry.
What can i do?

Put phone books underneath her mattress so her head is higher than her feet.

Sorry to hear your having a hard time. Maybe you could ring healthline and see what they suggest and whether you should take her to a 24hr doctor.
Otherwise, you could give her a bath and something to drink just to calm her and then maybe the pamol will kick in. Poor Kylah

Could she be having separation anxiety? Do you need to put her into her bed asleep? Or is she teething? I think that Jack tugs on his ear sometimes when he is teething.

It cant be seperation anxiety because she done it last night too, she cried for hours beside us in bed and finally fell asleep about 2am only to wake at 5.30am and whinge and cry all day. The doc said her ears are fine i dont know what else it could be..

Personally I wouldn't let her cry herself to sleep, but thats just my opinion.
I would probably just cuddle her and rock her in her bedroom with the lights off.
Do you think it could be her teeth?
Sorry I aren't much help, but I just had to contend with Lauren the same tonight and I actually gave her a bottle of 100mls, gave her a big cuddle and brushed her head/face while she settled down and drifted off to sleep. Can you try that?

you could try just sitting beside her cot until she falls asleep. I know when Ella is teething she can get quite upset at bedtime and when she does, I normally just sit beside her and she calms down and falls asleep.

okay, the "sensible" thing to do is to let her cry it out, but in all honesty I would try to get her to sleep anyway I could and if that meant lying down with he3r, so be it.

The moment shes put into bed she screams, i dont get a chance to stand beside her and shhh her because she cant hear me. Off to rock her to sleep hopefully.

Maybe her ear infection has come back? It is supposed to hurt more when lying down.
Good luck with the rocking her to sleep, I hope she settles for you.

With josh i use a dummy it sometimes takes a bit of just holding it in his mouth and ssshhhhing in his ear quite loudly before he will suck it but he eventually drifts off. If he is really bad i hold him on his side tightly against me rocking him so his mouth (with dummy in it is against my arm so he cant spit it out and he calms down sucking his dummy and drifts off really quickly just got to be very quiet and gentle putting him down.

Daniel did this the other night (thankfully we worked out what it is now). What I ended up doing was getting him on my chest inside my dressing gown (which he loooves) and sitting in a rocking chair for about 10 mins holding his head against me telling him its ok and to relax his head. Then lay down in bed with him still on my tummy and he eventually drifted off and I was able to take him off me and pop him down in our bed next to me.
I didn't like the type of cry so refused to let him cry it out.

I think you should take her back to the doctors, something doesn't sit right with me. There must be fluid in her ears. She may need ear drops.

Df is taking her for a walk. We had to do that at 3am one day when she was like this, it was our last try and then we were going to the 24hr or a&e. She should go to sleep in her pram. Just dont know how shifting her to her bed is going to go
Im definatly going to the doctor. Im going to go see the male doc there i think hes really good.
The doc i take her too i go all the way to new brighton for as i thought they were awesome.. She did say she couldnt see in her ears, so they used that fluid thing.

Aww hugs you guys its no fun with a sick bubba.
If you put one extra book under one of the cot legs you can rock it so maybe try rocking her if she wakes up again?
Also tomorrow have some fun playing times in her cot when shes awake. Play with toys and stuff because there is a chance she might be associating her cot with alone painful times.
Good luck and hopefully shes better soon poor wee thing.

tom did this too and I took him to the doc twice. Ears were fine but they thought he had a sore throat and therefore felt pressure when he lay down. We raised his bed and dosed him with Pamol (and bonjela for the fu nof it) and he seemed to come right. Lots of cuddles and rocking though.
It WILL pass!!!

In my experience, ears are a PITA and doctors don't take them seriously enough. Mercedes had two ruptured drums and I asked for a referral to a specialist, my normally very good GP said it wasn't neccessary but I made her refer her anyway.
It turned out she had chronic glue ear in both ears and that's why she screamed all the time, had grommets a few weeks later and has been fine ever since.
Sienna had NO sypmtoms, yet when the specialist looked in her ears she had the same thing - chronic glue ear in both sides, so she got grommets too.
I'd say if you are worried about her ears and not getting answers from the GP ask for a referral to a specialist, they have better equipment for checking little ears.
That said, it could also be teeth, but that would be unlikely to make her scream so uncontrollably.

Hi,
I would also play games with her in her room and her cot during the day so that she doesnt think it is a bad place to be. If she starts to think that her cot is not a nice place to be at night it is a struggle to get her back in it (believe me!).
Hope that you get the ears sorted soon.

Poor Kylah! Poor you guys too, you must be knackered!
Ear infections can take a while to show up apparently. When Ella was just 2 she was really sick for 3 days, high temps, vomiting, and screaming the house down. We went to 3 different doctors and starship over the 3 days and had all kinds of tests done, all of them checked her ears and said they were fine... Dr #4 on day 4 took one look and said they were the worst infections he'd ever seen.
I hope the medicine works quickly and that Kylah is much better soon!

i hope those AB's kick in really soon kandice and you all get a good night's sleep tonight!!

Ear infections are a pain! We are onto our 2nd one, DD had a chest infection last month and was on antibiotics now on antibiotics for the EI and sore throat!!
My advice, let her sleep where she wants and give lots and lots of huggs! And plenty of fluids. She'll come right!
Big to you!!

My son went through a stage like that at about eight months as did a couple of other babies in my coffee group. Someone told me it was just a stage and to go with it so I did, keeping my son up for longer and/or sitting with him until he fell asleep - whatever worked for us without getting too stressed - it took about two and a half weeks to get him back to normal. So my advice is just go with it and do what keeps you sane and your child calm.
