LOL - I felt the same way when I got my first D'lish! I couldn't wait either so put it on Leo right away. He wore it for 2hrs with no prewashing, which I thought was pretty good. It now easily goes 3-4hrs and after that I just change the insert as the outer is never wet. I have melon & lime and Leo loves them - he'll always choose them first from the nappy basket

I have only played with one as I don't have a nappified kiddo anymore but completely agree.
They are gooooooorgeously soft and because it is the minky laminated, the fabric isn't bulky at all!
If I wore nappies, I'd be requesting these! hehe

Glad to hear they are so good. I'm hoping to grab a couple at the nappy expo on the weekend. Hope they have some there so I can actually take one home and don't have to wait for it to be posted.

Oh, you poor thing! Are you sure you're trying to do it up low enough? Leo's is really low slung and he's done up on the second-biggest poppers, so not much room left to expand. He's pretty chubby and 12.75kg. I'm hoping they'll come out with an XL d'lish as I think it would be perfect for late toilet trainers because it's so trim & absorbant!

Well Seb is still ok in his medium (although on 2nd tightest) at 11kg, skinny wee thing that he is, and could probably do a large, I would say these do tend to run a little small maybe. Of course the medium is trimmer It sucks that it doesn't fit

Aww that sucks, Caprece is in a large too and I really doubt it would fit Jack. Have you tried it on? because they do look tiny but fit bigger than they look if that makes sense

yeah rach i tried it on with a liner and got it done up but on the last snaps....maybe it isn't labelled wrong then.....she's just over 12kg so it should be ok
oh well, i'm sending it back tomorrow and karyn's going to check it against another one

I think the main attraction is they are very trim, and absorbent with it. I actually find them less fiddly than a pocket - and would much prefer snapping in the inserts than stuffing pockets. Wish they were around when Isaac was little I have always preferred trim though.

This does seem odd, as my 14kg boy at 2.5 is on the 2nd snap setting in. I will be very interested to measure it up against another large. There is a possibility it could have been labelled as a large.

I wouldn't call them fiddly, I would much rather biff the nappy in the wash and unsnap it for drying when it's nice and clean, than take out the messy inserts before washing.

I never thought of doing that! I unsnapped it all before washing!
I am looking at them with my new found sewing (ahem) skills thinking...."how does it work? How can I do that?"

I think they just seem a bit fiddly at first because they're different - I thought the same when I got my first - but when you're using them regularly they're no more fiddly than a pocket nappy - instead of stuffing a pocket you're snapping the inserts in. I love that you can just replace the insert if the nappy is wet - I have an extra insert and always use it because the outer is never wet with wee. I don't think I'd have them as a complete nappy set but I love having a couple to use when I want a trimmer bum or extra absorbancy as the bamboo is fantastic.

Same thats what I love about them, you don't actually have to touch any of the messy bits until its clean. It lasted Caprece all night too so is very absorbant for its size.

Bizzy - the rockmelon is gorgeous!! I too was skeptical at first but now I love them and wish I had turquoise too
Rachel - that's fab that Caprece can go overnight in an unboosted nappy. Yay for you!

In regards to washing the d'lish - I'm sure I read somewhere that it wasn't recommended you was the nappy all snapped together as it can put a strain on the snaps during washing?
*off in search of that info.....*
Ah, here is it. A quote from the Itti Bitti website, just something worth considering:
"It is not recommended to leave the snap in boosters attached for washing/drying as there is the potential for snaps to rip out and elastic to deteriorate quicker than normal due to extra stretching from the weight of the boosters."
