Hi girls,
Can anyone recommend something to clear up my son's cradle cap? He has not had this before but it has come up recently. Not sure if this topic has been mentioned before and haven't looked sorry. TIA ------------- Sebastien 2 years old Olivier 3 3/4 years old |

A friend of mine gave me some Mustela ointment for cradle cap. I assume she got it at a pharmacy. It worked wonders for Rowan who was starting to look like she had crazy paving on her head.
You pop it on at night and wash it off in the morning. Oh and also brush their hair as that helps too. -------------

yeah sorry I should clarify - Rowan's was really bad and olive oil wasn't cutting it. If your bub only has a little then I'd try olive oil first like the others suggested. -------------

Thank you girls for your replies - I will try some olive oil this evening. Luckily it's not that bad and only just on the front of his head so it should clear up pretty quickly.

LOL at the crazy paving, Sienna's is still like that but her hair is thickening up and you can't see it so much anymore - unless her mummy picks at it and it all flakes in her hair like dandruff  -------------  Maya Grace (28/02/03)

Olive oil isn't working so well for Lachie now but Lachie is the same as Sienna, as his hair is getting longer and thicker it is becoming less noticable, but it still annoys me -------------

Keziah has it too, and at the moment it must be itchy cause she keeps scratching it and that leaves flaky head skin all over the place ewww  -------------

I too would have to reccommend Mustela products. I've used the 'shampoo' product of theirs since Ella was a newborn and have NEVER had cradle cap EVER! I put it down to using Mustela every night in the bath. Just love the product (just not so much the price!!!) but its worth it. -------------

Rubbing in little circular motions helps move it (with oil), and also prevents it. If young and you are top and tailing every morning, rub with wet cotton wool in a circular motion over the head. -------------
