I am thinking of getting one of these for our bubs. Has anyone tried them? How did you find moving on to using a cot at when baby was bigger?

Could I just use the cot from birth right through or do I really need something for that really little stage?

I don't know, but just like to say they look great... I'd probably buy one next time if we didn't already have a really nice bassinet.

You can use the cot right from the word go, you will want to make it up so that bubs has his feet near the bottom though, so tuck the sheets across-ways, and under more (if that makes sense) so they don't get lost under the blankets.

We used one with both our kids and lurrrrved it!
It is so easy to settle them in as it cocoons them and bounces and rocks them to resettle if they stir in their sleep.
My daughter was a little squirt and used it until 7 months, my son used it until 4 months.
They both moved into the cot really easily. Initially I used a safe-t-sleep with them to help them feel secure with all the extra space and to stop them moving all over the show, then once they were used to being there I phased it out.
Hope this helps!

I am considering getting one for this bub just coz I can lol, but she will prob just go straight into a cot like her big sisters did.

Maya was in a hammock for 2 weeks while I was in hospital with mastitis and it was awesome.

We were loaned a hammock, but Eva never really took to it. Saying that though, she wouldn't sleep anywhere apart from in my arms for the first 6 weeks, LOL!

My cousin (who I borrowed it from) found it great for their daughter, who was a poor sleeper. They are also very portable (can attach to door frames).

Ok so this is a lil late but ill add my 2cents anyway We had a bassinet, hammock and a cot. I found Neosha LOVED they hammock but it was way to bulky for our bedroom so we used the bassinet in there at night and the hammock during the day and it worked fine. She slept well in both but I found I had to rock her bassinet to get her to sleep sometimes so maybe that had something to do with the hammock. Once she was in a cot at almost four months we never used the hammock again and she was fine. I have the AMBY baby hammock though, same thing I think but its frilly :0) For the next baby we will be doing the same The hamocks are really cool though

We were loaned one from a friend and I only started putting Rowan in it a few weeks ago. She's not too stoked about going into it so I have to be sneaky (transfer her when she's half asleep) but she sleeps much longer in it than she does in her cot.

She's a small baby and almost too big for it so if you're going to get one I'd start when they're NB. Especially as they probably won't fuss as much going into it that way.

We also had all three and I loved our Natures Sway hammock, it was a real lifesaver for me as at the time we got it Jack would only sleep in the sling during the day and it was killing my back.
We bought it from Natures Sway on TM as a factory second (not that you would ever have known) and also got the stand so we could put it anywhere in the house. Plus took it to my parents and the bach numerous times and didn't have to worry about door jams etc
