I put eden down to sleep after her morning feed about 7.30 this morning... since then i had to get her up twice to take gabriel to kindy then pick him up, the plunket nurse came and took her clothes off and weighed her and still she sleeps and now she is in the lounge with us...oh and she had the boys practically climbing all over her and still she sleeps...

aww, bless her!! Is she a little jaundice?? Keziah was like that at first too.. but her SBR (blood tests for jaundice) results were really bad in the first few days.. she was really sleepy all the time and the kids were getting frustrated cause all they wanted to do was play with her, but she did nothing but sleep for hours on end

I wondered about jaundice too when Eden was so sleepy in the hospital, but she doesn't look at all jaundiced to me.
I guess you should just enjoy having a brilliant sleeper (touch wood) after 2 1/2 years of Mr Clingy Pants waking up, you deserve it!

Jack was like that for the first couple of days, and then became jaundice and we had to wake him up every 3 hours for feeds as he was IUGR. Is she sleeping well at night? I hope so, sounds great to me!

when Josh had jaundice really bad he didn't look jaundice (yellow skin) its only when the Jaundice was coming out and levels going down that he looked yellow. reason Josh got tested was he was sleeping heaps and not feeding.

Is Eden feeding ok?

she may just be a very heavy miricle sleeper

no probs with feeding, when she finally decides to latch she goes for it. and has a feeding frenzy every night from about 7-11. and she put on 220 gms in 5 days, the mw was pleased so i suppose thats good.

Brag!!

It's great that number 3's a good sleeper and nothing to worry about either. I was my mum's number 3 and apparently I was the easiest baby and slept heaps too.

Enjoy it - you deserve to.

If shes feeding ok i would say shes ok and as I said one of those sleeping babies we all hear about - you know drink - sleep for 4 hours - drink - sleep...

I found my #3 was a pretty cruisy baby too

I've had 3 severely jaundiced babies and trust me, Eden isn't jaundiced!

Interesting what people have said about 3rd babies, my sister was mums 3rd and she was the best sleeper apparently too, slept thru a house being built around her. Funnily enough she was a bit like Eden in that she took 3 days to decide to come into the world too!

my mum thinks she may take after me - i was mums first tho but was late and she used to have to wake me in the hospital to feed me by stretching out my arms and legs. Apparently i was the only baby in the nursery who would sleep thru the 3am feeding time (back when they all had to stick to "the routine".)
