I did it with both the boys and have already started it with eden.
I dont know wether its just me or if other mums are the same but i see my baby do something and instantly think, "well thats not normal, i wonder whats wrong with him/her?"
I was convinced for ages that gabriel was deaf oh and that he didnt like me at all. and when he didnt start speaking till 3 that really didnt help at all. i thought not only was he deaf but maybe he was delayed or even worse...
With toby i have thought all sorts of things to do with his brain cause he was such a grumpy bum...and prob as a baby something wrong with his ears or eyes.
Now just because eden is lying in her basinette wide awake just staring i am wondering what is wrong with her mentally!
It drives me spare that i keep jumping to these conclusions. luckily i suppose my hubby and my mum all say i am just being silly and tell me to get over it.

But is this normal, did you all do it too or am i truly a nutcase?

yeah, pretty normal sounding to me. We are fed milestone stuff and weight charts and everything that we worry when our kids don't fit the average mould. Of course there wouldn't be an avverage age for stuff if there wern't kids doing it much earlier and much later. Or an average weight if there weren't skinnyminis and chubba lattas.

But yeah, it is so normal to worry!
