Mine has 4 bottles of formula per day (approx 200mls in each bottle), and a solid meal in between each.

For breakfast he has a few spoons of baby muesli and a cube of fruit.

For lunch he has half a tin of some kind of watties veges/meat and 2 cubes of home-made veges.

For dinner he has the same as lunch but also half a tin of custard and 2 cubes of fruit.

He has been on solids since 4 months, so he has gradually built up to this. It seems like alot to me, but he enjoys it and usually finishes it.

He would stop eating if he was full wouldn't he?

I don't want to cause any long term damage/create allergies by overfeeding him.

At his age he would stop once he is full.

Josh didn't eat much at that age so you are lucky.

I was a puree feeder, forward facing, cot sleeping, pram pushing kind of Mum... and my kids survived!

Tom eats heaps! He would happily have a jar per meal and then some.

Does teething make them hungrier? Oliver has his first two teeth just about to break through the gums. He seems to have started eating more the last week or so, or maybe I wasn't feeding him enough before?

Oh well, sounds like he's normal. Good to know!

Teething makes Daniel less hungry. You are lucky you have a good feeder! We struggled with half a jar at that age!

Spencer was on fruit and rice cereal for breakfast and then 3 cubes of veges or veges/meat for lunch and dinner and sometimes a bit of fruit as dessert, he would also have the odd bit of finger food too.
It sounds like he is still getting a decent amount of milk and if he isn't getting any sore tummies then I wouldn't worry about it.

Wow thats impressive Mookey! Thomas isn't eating as much as that especially now that he is on formula. He ate more when on breast milk I think. He is having 5 200ml bottles of formula a day now, is that too much milk not enough solids?

No that is fine for 6 months, when you swap to solids first at around 8-9 months they will drop the milk amount for more solids.

Kryssi ate like that except she wasn't so interested in milk already at that stage in favour of more solids lol. Is he quite tall or anything? Kryssi has always been at the top of the chart for height and well above average for weight.

We only started Gina on solids at 6 months so she wasn't eating much at that stage. I'd say if he's full, he'd stop eating - sounds like he's got good healthy appetite
