Which cereals are ok for bubbas Daniels age?

I gave him cornflakes this morning which he thought was brilliant. I have tried giving him weetbix but he doesn't like that.

I just figure it's a cool finger food for the morn as he hates being fed from a spoon for brekkie.

And because DH does the grocery shopping these days he's too lazy to look on the back of the packets to find out which ones have too much sugar etc

i used to give the boys rice bubbles with yoghurt, cause then they stuck together better and they could use the spoon themselves with them... cant remember what age tho.

Ella normally has porriage (sp?) and weetbix mixed with milk for breakfast.

Would also be interested in finding out what other cereals she can eat.

The gremlins either have weetbix, scrambled egg, or on school mornings a banana, toast and milk. I've tried a multitude of cereals with Maya and am yet to find one that she will eat consistently.

I would only ever get weetbix, ricies, cornflakes or porridge. I think all the rest have too much sugar in them. And giving them with yoghurt like Deb said makes it heaps easier!

ella LOVES rice bubbles and has for months...initially with formula or dry as finger food - and i even mixed them in purree fruit we had in freezer. She loved them.

she alos loves those ricebubbles bars you can get - we just do the plain ones.

She also now has weetbix...and loves that too.

she never liked porridge as a bubba....mmaybe this winter...altho i hate the stuff too!

We do porridge or the infant rice cereal mixed with a couple of cubes of pureed apples/pears/peaches etc.
What about a bran flake or something like that? Or maybe fruitibix if you think he would be ok with the raisin bits?

Porridge simply won't work because he won't let me feed him in the morning and he won't get any in his mouth trying by himself. Same with yoghurt with rice bubbles (though that does sound pretty cool).

the yoghurt makes them stick together really well. my boys have both eaten them with their fingers and they do stick well to the spoon...

how bout cheerios?

just be careful the cereal doesnt have too much fibre. maybe try toast and spoon feed him while he is distracted with that...

Tried that, he is such a little monkey for breakfast. He's fine with other meals though so I try every 3rd morning and if he locks his mouth shut I just don't fight it and just let him feed himself
