Bizzy and I were talking about this the other day, she has long cycles, and all three of her pregnancies have been long as well (42 weeks+).

I have short (26 day) cycles, and Maya was born at 38 weeks. The gremlins are an anomaly coz they were induced.

I just thought it would be interesting to see if there was any pattern to it - does the length of your cycle affect how long your pregnancy will be?

That's interesting...

I have 30 day cycles... Kiya was early, both the boys were on time (Josiah on EDD, Xavier 15 minutes after EDD), midwife expecting me to go to around EDD this time too (assuming he flips, so I don't have a caesarian)

Prior to Ollie my cycles were 25-26 days and he was 4 days past EDD. After Ollie my cycles were longer but hadn't really settled, approx 30-35 days. I hope you are wrong, I don't want this baby to be too late!

Mine were 35-40 days (only had 2 cycles ever so I wouldn't really go by me!) and Jack came at 40w3d. Although if my body had been prepped he would have come at 39 weeks as that's when he started trying to come out.

Mine were around 32ish days when we got pregnant with Andy. He was born 7 days late. This time I only had 5 cycles before conceiving and they ranged from 40 - 32 days so I hope this baby isn't going to be later!!

My cycles are 31 days and all my LMP Edd have been 2weeks out to the dating scan. By dating scan gestation Lesieli 40+4 Mercedes 40+6 and Alize 38wks BUT if you go by my LMP edd date he was born 39+4. I discussed this with the MW and she still put him down  as 38wks gest as she said the dating scans at 5weeks are quite accurate. It def is something to think about tho.

Have no idea what my cycles were before Jack but hewas a day early. My cycles were 31 days when got preg with Caprece and that gave me the DD of the 13th, the first scan gave me a DD of the 19th so they took that one but she was born on the 16th so in my eyes thats dead on time for the length of my cycle.

I have a 26 day cycle and I had L at 40w6d. I'd say so long as you count 38 weeks from conception instead of 40 weeks from LMP that it wouldn't make any difference. However if you typically have a 6 week cycle and they count from LMP it would appear that you were overdue when you weren't. Scans should pick it up though.
