......negative? Argh I don't know V V V faint line there agin...but I reckon it's the watermark or something. It didn't come up immediately, more like when the pink background started to fade..although within the time limit. If I wasn't charting then I'd be tempted to think I've just tested too early (I'm 12DPO), but my temps dropped slightly again today so I don't see how I could be pg if that's happening? Maybe one of you more experienced chart ladies could look at it for me and tell me what you think? Arrgh. Thanks Konagirl. My BBT has been beeping at me and flashing low bat so that might be a reason for lower temps...or it could just as easily be I"m not pg. | it's still pretty early and you do have a line, regardless of how strong the colour is. Go off and have a nice day and see what happens in next few days. Personally I'm off on holiday and expect to come back and see your chart moved to expecting in dec (?)! |

If you are still using those strip tests I recommend going and getting a better quality test. I had several days of really faint ambiguous lines on the strip tests but got a more definite BFP on a Discover early result test.
I don't think you are out of the game yet. A couple of temp drops at this point are not definitive. Remember also that the individual test strips may vary in sensitivity even if they are from the same batch. This means it is entirely possible to get a stronger line on 10dpo than on 11dpo. Also I think the fact that when you test you keep getting some kind of faint line, when you usually don't could well be significant. It was for me. I know how crazy making this is! HI Vanillabean. Thanks for your advice- can I use that Discover test on any wee? Or is it still better to wait till tomorrow morning? Somehere I read that holding for 4-5 hours also gives a good result if you can't use fmu. If you can afford it perhaps buy a digital test that way you don't need to do any interpreting, staring at those coloured strips can make you go loopy. Also you can get false positives after the 5 min time limit so throw it away before 5 mins so you don't keep looking at it and driving yourself nuts. -------------

The Discover test says you can use it any time of day because it has 'sensorflow technology" whatever that is(although I used it with FMU).
I have done a lot of reading on the internet about this and it seems that while you can definitely get false positives outside the 5 min window its quite common for women who are actually pregnant that have the test go positive after the 5 minutes. All this stuff is so crazy making because there are never any definite answers about anything. the test this monring was very light, caould only just see it within the 5 minutes. Between 5-10 minutes it darkened more and obviously now is very very clear pink. So who knows? It is a dip stick- an internet brand. I have their OPKs and they're really good. The line is def pink, but so incrediably faint within the 5 minute time frame...then got a bit darker and now is dark as and as pink as. Grr. Think the BBT thing is what is most doing my head in, cos I just didn't think I could be pg and have my temp drop is all?! The battery I was sent is also flat so might give up on temping for the moment. It's not like it's gonna change the outcome!! Hey Emmecat remember what I said about having to do five tests to actually believe it!!
When is your af due? Because if she doesn't arrive then I would be going to the doc's and can you request a blood test or do they just make you poas? I know its enough to drive you mad all the uncertainty it creates in your mind. Try to put it out of your head or alternatively go buy some other brand hpt's (thats probably what I'd do ) and test away!!! hehe

Jaxs- don't really know when AF is due...until I started charting I was a 28 day cycle gal. Then it went to 34, 32,...grrr I would say about 30-32 days. At day 29 now. Sunday will be 14 DPO according to FF. Think I'll go buy another brand and maybe use my last internet HPT..... hmmmm.... If AF doesn't turn up by Monday I'll def go to the Dr. I keep expecting all my 'sypmtoms' to go away and AF to turn up! This is exactly what happend to me! I tested got really faint line(fainter than yours) then I tested with FMU and got a BFN!! Then tested with a digital BFN, then tested again the next day with the other digital and got a my BFP
I just kept testing cos I KNEW i wasnt seeing things. ------------- |

Hey emmecat, there is definately something there I think it is just to the right of that white white bit, does that sound right.
You might just have to wait and retest in a few days when the hcg is abit more concentrated, unless you go and get a different test. But then that may not show the line any clearer  Annoying I know!!

Well, after three faint lines hun, I think you are pregnant. You cant get that many lines and not be pregnant ya know?
If you didnt have hcg in ur system then u would have no lines on ANY of those tests. But cos all three have lines, I am quite confident that they are BFP's
The reason why they are so faint and not coming up right away is cos u are still early, ud only be 3 weeks along! So the hcg is not strong enough. Thats what happened to me, I can drag my old thread if you want? Have aread of it and it sounds JUST like you lol ------------- |

I had no symptoms at all, except that I was a wee bit more tired that usual, I actually didnt think that I was pregnant that month. So I found it hard to believe my faint lines, but yeah, turns out I was pregnant :)
It would be very very rare to get evap lines three times in a row, as evap lines dont usually pop up anyways, Ive only had one evap line that I can remember, my other faint lines were my bfp's ------------- |

No matter what happens you're not a great big idiot! This will hopefully be a life changing, momentus occassion in your lives and I think it's absolutely understandable to be feeling the way you are! And for the record I was 100% sure AF was due the day before I got my BFP, even txted DH to tell him so, was HIGHLY emotional and even after getting a pretty dark line I still didn't quite believe it so believe me, you're definitely not the only one who thinks these things!

Don't feel like a big idiot Emmecat - just think that at least you'll know for sure. They may have your results back late this afternoon if you're lucky - I've always got mine back the same day (if taken in the morning, results at lunchtime and if taken at lunchtime, results back around 4-4.30pm). Just took another photo (think this might be the last one!)....from top to bottom- 11DPO (PM), 12DPO (FMU), 12DPO (2MU), OPK (12DPO midday) lol The lines are quite clear here, although not sure if they'll come out in the photo. Ok, just cos I'm a big geek and am bored stupid at work, I saved the pic, and then zoomed in to get an "up close and personal" look. There are definitely pink lines. Yes they are faint, but they are there, and that's all there is to it. The second and third ones are slightly more obvious than the first one (to me anyway) and of course your OPK has a definite not so faint line!

Oops silly me for leaving it out Well I guess it's a waiting game now for my bloods. The nurse did say if it's really early they might not detect anything which doesn't mean I'm not pregnant, just too early! Sigh.

Hey emmacat i was 2 days overdue for af when i tested and i got a faint bfp 2 times and thought not preggy talked to my friend who had a baby already and she told me that a test will only show positive even faintly if you are producing that hormone. Ok guys..well the nurse called and she said they hadn't done the test and I would have to wait till Monday. So I replied ok well I might do another HPT over the weekend and she was silent and then said, 'well it won't make any difference, there's not much point really as it won't change the results of the blood test'. I said there was a point, it might give me an answer and then I asked her if she'd ever had trouble ttc and if she'd ever had to wait to know?! She softened her tone a little on this, maybe it was just the end of the day but she was a bit short before adn I could tell she didn't think much of 'us' who test before AF arrives and quite frankly was a little rude. So sorry ladies, don't have any definative answers for you(or me)!!

That extra one you have done today is DEFINITELY positive! Don't worry about the Nurse, in Palmy bloods aren't even routinely done for pg testing, I've never had it done and never heard of it pre-OB registration!!
Go ahead and start planning names
PS The cramps are now stretching etc of your insides, you'll also feel bloated and/or nauseous in time. The first trimester feels like AF is 'nearly there'... for most of those 13 weeks. ------------- |

I recon your pregas too my line was mega faint! and you can get a strong opk through hcg levels....have a look at www.peeonasitck.com using opk as hpt and I totally thought my af was coming the night that i had the light light (evaporation like) poss test as I had mega af cramp feeling and turns out it wasnt af I was pregnant :)

Hey emmecat there is a definite line on those two middle tests I will be checking in tomorrow morning to see if you tested with fmu, I'm guessing you will have an even darker line

Hey chick I have a drawer of about 5 faint tests like that which eventually became Caprece. Mine all showed up at 7 mins too. I'd say your pregnant

I definately think your pregnant but good luck for monday anyway so you can get it confirmed. All my tests were faint and just for the record I tested this morning (felt pg but Im not) and it was neg and when i got home from work i had another look at the test and there still wasnt even an evap line! |

LOL- if I am pg Jaxs, I think I'll make it into the November mums thread....about the 14th Nov (not that I've counted or anything I just have to say all you ladies have been so incrediable and so supportive...I feel very very lucky. The crampy things seem to have stopped now I had a nice hot shower...and I just feel bloated again...lovely I shall wait and see now. If my temps go up tomorrow morn then I may retest...if they keep going down I can't see how I could be pg at the same time though? Will keep you all informed!
