Ok, just cos Teresa is complaining about chocolate recipes i will add one that has some fruit in it
820g can pear halves (a smaller one will do though depends on how healthy you want it)
1 cup choc drops
3 quarters of a cup of flour
1 quarter of a cup of Brown sugar
75g butter
1 tablespoon cocoa
Arrange pear halves face-up in a pie-dish, put about a teaspoon of choc drops in the hole in the middle of each, enough to fill. Set this aside, I usually pour in a tiny amount of the pear juice, just enough to barely cover the bottom of the dish.
Combine flour, cocoa and brown sugar in a bowl, rub in the butter until the mixture resembles fine crumbs, pour this over the top of the pears, sprinkle over more choc drops.
Cook at 190 degrees celsius for about 15mins
serve hot with cream.
This is how i got my kids to try pears, lol, funnily enough they liked them and will now eat them without the lashings of chocolate thank goodness.
Beware, if your eyes are bigger than your belly you will regret it, about 1-2 pears worth of this pudding is MORE than enough.
