Ok, so I stopped bleeding after birth at around 4 weeks. Then got AF around 5 weeks later - first week after starting mini pill. I have not had anything since and was over 6 weeks ago.

Is it possible that it was not AF, but just some bleeding?

Or am I pregnant... (I will test eventually... in denial)

Hey Bel
I had some bleeding after the mini pill and then havent had it back so might be the same sort of thing. Mine wasnt like a real period at all, just a day or two of bleeding again.
Was yours like a real period?

Aren't you still b/feeding too? Mine stopped and started too. Then AF came back properly after 9 weeks, and it's been every 28 days since.

Am still BF, but not quite exclusively...(formula top-up at night) also Luke has been sleeping over 8hrs overnight since about 6 weeks...

It lasted 4 days, was pretty much a normal period for me, but I have never had extremely heavy ones anyway...

I have had a/f back twice Bel, both times it only lasted one day each and that was over two months ago. I am exclusively b/f as you already know.

Maybe you should do a test

OK so I tested and it was negative... silly thing is that DH and I were even a little disapointed...

But we are back in the land of the living now and want to enjoy our boy for a bit longer - and get a bigger house, before we have any more littlies.

SO now I guess I keep waiting and see what happens next, am enjoying not having AF, but cang et a bit worrying at times... (like this one)

Bel I still haven't had AF, and as you know I'm not BF. It's been 10 weeks since I stopped BF, so I thought AF would have returned by now. I guess it can take a long time for things to settle down and get back to normal.

Same thing happened to me when I started mini pill. It really screws with your cycles so watch out.

I've had one AF so far and that was 5weeks ago. I thought it was starting last week when I got a reddish/brown sludgy spot (TMI) but nope, nothing came of it.

Anyone else find their AF really irregular after bubs?

I found after the first 2 babies that I would having spotting every couple of weeks! I was on the mini-pill. So I went off it, and my AF returned to normal.

I haven't gone on the mini-pill yet since having Jett. We're just using condoms. I've had 2 periods since having Jett but I haven't noted them on the calendar, so I'm not sure how many days my cycle is. But DH & I are careful everytime, since I fell pg with Jett by not using protection ONCE!

I'm not on mini pill so maybe its just my body working out what its doing.

I finished bleeding after birth at around four weeks. Three days ago I started bleeding again (heavy for one day and light for the past two. I am unsure whether this is AF or just some random bleeding after my original bleed.

I stopped breastfeeding at three weeks. And I haven't yet started my mini-pill.

Any ideas?

I stopped BF 6wks ago, but was not exclusive for 4wks before that and am also not on a pill.

I've just started my first AF since my bleeding stopped 6wks after labour. Don't worry Bel - i came close to testing too and although i wasn't even thinking about having another bundle anytime soon, i was a little saddened by the confirmation that i'm not pregnant.

Cluck, cluck, cluck!

Apparently 1/3 of people have normal periods on the MP, 1/3 of people have irregular bleeding, and 1/3 have no period at all.

I'd do a preg test every now and again just to be sure... or use condoms in your most fertile times as I'm a bit skeptical about the minipill being a good preventer.

But then again, you don't sound as though you'd be horribly disappointed if you did get preg so you'll be fine!!
