Hi everyone,
I've been lurking for a while and have learnt so much!
I've been TTC for only a few months (4th cycle now), so fun and exciting!

Anyway, I get pretty nasty BV (bacterial vaginosis) and I have always been told that it doesn't need to be treated unless I have symptoms (which I do) or are TTC (which I am). Thing is, I've tried antibiotics from the dr and it works for about 3 weeks. When it came back I told the dr and he said not to worry about it, a lot of girls have it and don't realise and they have babies with no probs!

So, I am concerned it could stop me from conceiving, like the crazy bacteria might interfere with the swimmers?

Does anyone else have BV or advice for me?

Sorry this is so long!

I just did a search on it on the net (cause I didn't know what it was!) There are lots of sites with natural remedies - perhaps have a squizz and see if you can find something natural to help!

Welcome to Oh Baby btw, and good luck with TTC!

Thanks GeorgiaB, I've been searching the net too. I think I might give acidophyllis tablets a go. I have plenty of natural yogurt but it hasn't made a difference so far!

I have a lillypie counting thingie but don't know how to put it on here!

Its jsut one of those horrible things that some people suffer more than other. You can douch with baking soda and water as this is suppose to help get the normal bod flora back to the normal balance. Yes alot of people are asymptomatic while other can suffer the awful effects of smelly discharge or copious amount of dischange with no smell (if that makes sense). Our Dr prescribed metrinidazole for BV and if a lady can back with recurrent episodes as you have explained she would recommend the douching with the baking soda. Best of luck girl
