I didn't do it, but kind of wished I did now. I think I am going to consider it next time.

I say, if you want to - do it!

It's not something I would do - I didn't even want a mirror
But if it's what you want, hey why not?

I heart my birth DVD. The kids watch it all the time. It is very tasteful and well shot so you can see what you need to see without to much exposure IYKWIM. I actualy watched it last night and cried my eyes out watching me and Alize for his first 10mins of hs life lol

Emma has seen it. Most of friends have seen it as they knew i was videoing it and so have asked to view etc. Nothing im ashamed of at all. I wish I had the other 2 births on video

You never have to show anyone else either, it can be completly private and if you think its that bad - you dont have to watch it again either!

go for it if u want to do it!

I won't be doing it because I haven't given birth before and to tell u the truth, I'm pretty terrified without wanting to be videod, lol. But if things go ok this time around I would definitely be interested in seeing my next birth! But as u say, just for my viewing probably. Lol.

I never wanted to but after I had Jack I wished I had so bad so we taped Capreces birth. I gave birth on my knees leaning over the bath (in the water) so you never actually see my bits or her coming out but she just suddenly appears into the water. I've only watched it once with no sound because I didn't really like the way things went but I'm still glad I have it and know I'll watch it agin when I get over it. Its really nice having those first few moments on tape forever.

I wish I had taped the delivery of Josh I got to pull him out once his head was delivered and even thou I have photos they still aren't the same as the actually video.

Who did the taping for you ladies who did record your childs birth? I'm guessing it would have been DP/DH's but I'm wondering how it felt to not have their attention or support while they were off finding angles etc??

My DP videoed mine, I was in the bath so he wasn't that close anyway. Since it was my second I knew how I was and don't really need any support at that part except the midwife telling me when to push.

Im not sure....I saw the video of my mum having my brother, and that put me off having kids for years lol, but I got over it hehe.
I want DF to take pics, and to video us in hospital before I actually start pushing and stuff, and I want him to film us after he is born like when they put Caden in my arms etc, but I dont want him to film the actual crowning and stuff I want him where I can squeeze his hand lol I will have it ALL in my head for the rest of my life so I dont want to see it again lol.

I'll be in the water hopfully so I want DF with me when it gets down to the nitty gritty as I am terrified about giving birth

My sister videoed mine, she stood at my head end and videoed from there, you can see Faith's head as its crowning etc and as my midwife lifted her onto my tummy, I'm so glad I got it videoed, Faith is now 16 months old and I have watched it heaps since she was born and I always end up with a few tears afterwards as my baby is growing up and it was such a great birth and I'd do it over again in a heart beat.

LOL Kels, I didn't exactly 'ask' to see it But it is a very cool birth, I still can't believe how silent you were, I was howling and grunting like an animal lol.

I'm definitely considering videoing this baby's birth after watching Alize's birth, I liked that those first few moments after the birth were captured, when you first get to see bubs coz even tho I remember all that with the girls it is a bit of a blur. PLus I watched Maya crown and Sienna being born in a mirror and I've been at other births so seeing crowning/birth doesn't freak me out.
