Thanks everyone
Am home now after a quick but great stay in hospital. Hannah's feeding really well, like a little pro right from before the cord was cut! *touch wood* it stays that way. It seems the back pains I were getting from 2am on Thursday were the beginnings of a posterier labour (cheeky monkey had been anterior for WEEKS!) They got worse about 7pm on Friday so I went to bed to get some sleep. By 6am I was in agony so DH called the midwife and she told us to meet her at the hospital. I was expecting her to send me home, but I was already 4cm by then. By 9am I was fed up so was put on gas, then a half dose of pethidene at 12 when she found I was 7cms dialated. By 1pm I needed more pethidene and to PUSH! So we gunned it and by 1:34 she was out! It was a fantastic experience and I am so proud of my DH. He did an amazing job at keeping me calm. Yay! I'm posting photos in the Jan babies photo thread -------------
