Well I had been plodding along putting weight on at a "normal' rate and then i got on the scales this week and had put on 4 kgs, I had not been eating anymore infact had been a bit off food with the heat. Also my hands and feet are swollen but again this is probably from the heat?
I am seeing my mw on thursday should I wait until then to ask her as shes probably very busy as i'm feeling fine otherwise? Anyone else have this?
Thanks ladies
Just had a thought - is this water retention?, any thing I could take for it?

i would ring her.. as sudden weight gain can be sign of PE..on the other hand you could just be like me and swollen in the heat!!:) I havent put on extra weight but it said in the info that can be one of the signs..but you are also 32 weeks..so could just be that as well:) I wouldn't worry but i would just call and check...
and as far as water retention they told me nothing i could do except rest(yeah righto with another one) ! and feet up when possible.. oh and drinking heaps of water stops it being retained...i have no idea how but it does work..

May also be an indicator for gestational diabetes - I'm not sure what the markers are except for a big baby and being extra thirsty, may be good to to get some advice

I'm too scared to jump on the scales
Taking anything for water retention is a no-no. I went to a health food place when I was pregnant with Gina and was told they couldn't give me anything because I was pregnant. None of the herbs etc are considered safe as they may reduce the fluid in your body too much and impact bubs
