I haven't heard anything either - don't know who she was going to txt or if she remembered to take numbers with her just in case.
Hopefully she was induced, they should have done it ages ago.

Yes, I should have been induced by now, phew. Sorry to get everyones hopes up, nothing has happened.
I went to the hospital for my inducement assessment, and they said I was borderline (again) for an immediate inducement, and that they would like to let bubs come naturally if possible.
I have had a s & s done, which didn't feel as bad as the internal my m/w gave me last week. Eating as much pineapple as I can scoff. Have another appointment on Thursday at 12pm, told to bring a book. I believe they are doing a full set of bloods (again), urine (again), bp, monitoring and internal. Then I guess if I am still borderline, I have been told it could be next week... *sigh*
Had a lil bit of brown spotting since s & s, and what may be a show today. Been feeling okay, just back pain has kicked up a notch, as bubs turned posterior (again) during the week. Swelling has gotten much worse and had another dizzy spell about midday (probally the heat) but no headaches or stars infront of my eyes (thats what the hospital really wants).
I will try a bit better to keep in touch, I was at my Mums place for a couple of days just chilling by the pool. Starting to feel like a beached whale.

Awww sorry you're in this terrible heat, well past 40 weeks!! Sounds like your s&s has worked a treat actually. Usually they get things going within 24-48 hours, fingers crossed for you. I've had them before with fantastic results

That's definately a positive thing. I had the most lovely doctor at the hospital, I wish she could have induced me though. I am still in good spirits, have given up checking the calender and counting my overdue days, I know some women go over alot longer than I have thus far. And I guess I figure that I haven't been a bad oven, that lil Phee wants to stay in there.
I do wonder how big he will be. I mean he has turned again this week, surely he must be running out of room??

Now that bites. You could always be checky and say a little white lie and say the starts are there. That would get you induced in a few hours.

I would be telling a wee white lie also, Becks! Just say that you have spots and a headach and they will induce you much sooner.

It's funny because my dizziness is much more frequent, have had it alot today. So I do kinda have the spots and a minor headache.

Yeah I will definately tell them about the dizziness and headaches. Hopefully my results speak for themselves. My bloody midwife keeps telling me what days are bad for her for an inducement, end of the day bubs will come when he comes. I trust the staff at the hospital to care for me if I need to be induced without her.

Oh yeah it's definately weird. She doesn't say it in that light hearted jokey way either. Originally she said today was bad for her (this was earlier in the week) and now she is telling me she is free about Wednesday next week. Even though she's not on holiday until the 14th of Jan. I imagine if I get induced it will be Monday / Tuesday if it is not urgent. I will post an update this afternoon okay :)

Wow now that is weird - surely she would know that if you need to be induced, that's just the way it is. Having said that, the only reason they didn't book in to induce me during this period (was supposed to be induced by now) was because the hospital was far too busy and non-urgent things got bumped off. Good old healthcare system aye?
Hope to hear some good news soon!

Hurro ladies. Finally some good news!!!
BP was 140 / 90, nothing new there... and funnily enough no protein in the wee. But, they did a quick ultrasound of bubs to check on how much water he has in there, and to their shock, not alot. They want this baby out!
So I am home for about 90 minutes chilling before Mum picks Tom and I up to drop us back in for either the gel or to break the waters.
So, my question is... do they usually keep you in once they use the gel or break your waters for you??? DF wants to know whether he is staying at the hospital with me (as he doesn't drive).
