I need some ideas...
Luke is 7 weeks old and used to sleep well during the day. Over the last 2 weeks he seems to have lost the ability to sleep during the day (still fine at night). He now fights sleep until he is overtired, so even though I put him in after an hour of being up he stays awake, and then he won't settle, just cries. Once he finally falls asleep he only sleeps 30 minutes and then it starts again. If I keep him up he is happy enough, really only gets worked up when I try and put him in bed...
I put the 1st week down to a growth spurt, but he is doing my head in as he keeps doing it. I need some ideas of what I can do, or what I might be doing wrong...

Try swaddling...Bella started doing something similar at 12 weeks when she just couldn't keep her hands away from her face (and waking herself in the process), so I started to swaddle her and she went to sleep no probs. I only needed to do it during the day - she doesn't get wrapped at night and sleeps like a log.

I have been swaddling, but he usually manages to get his arms out anyway. I will try to wrap better...
He is the same, I swaddle him with arms out at night and don't have any problems, just during the day

Oh Bel - that sounds just like Anyssa a week ago. She is much better now, so hopefully Luke will also improve again soon.
I was seriously stressed out with her when she wasn't sleeping - in the end I started rocking her to sleep, letting her sleep on my chest, and going for a walk in the buggy to make sure she got some sleep each day.
I posted a thread called "sleeping woes" which is now on page 3 - people had some good advice there, so you might like to have a wee flick thru that.
Fingers crossed he will just get better again...Take care
