Hey all. This post may belong in the feet swelling thread, but I have noticed in the past 5 days that I can no longer recognise my feet, the swelling is insane. But what is weirder is that my toes and some parts of my feet feel numb. They tingle kinda like pins and needles but without the pain. I can pinch my toes, rub them and it still doesn't bring much feeling back into them.

Yup, I had swelling REALLY bad and gained a lot of extra fluid in the last few weeks. When I stood in the shower, they would go numb and tingly and sort of 'blotchy, mottled' looking. Once you have your baby you will get your feet and ankles back (I never thought I would). I'm happy to say I lost all that fluid REALLY quickly (15kg in 5 days) but it meant a lot of time on the toilet weeing to get rid of it all!! haha Gotta love pregnancy ------------- http://lilypie.com">

Mine went tingly too and all purple   I convinced myself I had put on weight on my ankles lol but luckily it was just swelling.

It's just the strangest feeling. I am going to have to weigh myself when I start having my contractions, then after birth, then a week later. Just to see the difference between bubs and water retention. ------------- http://lilypie.com">

I get it in my hands when my carpal tunnel flares up, not so much in my feet though. I guess just watch the colour (surely blue etc isn't too good ). Gotta love the cankles... oh the joys of pregnancy!

Ok, please note, I am more or less doing this for a laugh. I have taken a pic of one of my swollen feet, so you guys can cackle with me. It's a very disturbing picture, so please, if you are squeemish then you may need to look away. My feet are officially more swollen than my swollen cankles. Ew.

To be honest, I haven't even tried, I am wearing jandels alot because of the heat and whatnot. But no heels for me, I bet. It's insane, I was like "what happened to my lil narrow feet and ankles, where are the bones?". It feels all squishy and naff. ------------- http://lilypie.com">

Oh you poor thing! I can so relate...mine looked JUST like that! My MW used to call them "little puddings"! It seems, as ghastly and unpleasant as they are, MW's just don't seem to be too concerned about this sort of swelling (I used to go to every appt going "is that normal", "that can't be OK" and she would just go "its fine"  ) So, unfortunately you have to grin and bear it. And when I was in labour my MW was trying to get me to walk a lot and my poor feet were even WORSE from all the walking that I couldn't feel them after awhile. And then they pumped me full of fluids, so they got worse before they got better, but trust me, you will get your ankles back, but it will take about a week, so don't get disheartened. Yeah the puffiness and swelling sucks. I sent mum a pxt of my feet and she said "yuck, fat feet." Heh. She wants me to see a doctor, but it will be a waste of time. She just wants me induced earlier. ------------- http://lilypie.com">

Actually, my MW did recommend getting acupuncuture (I just could never be bothered) and they are apparently good at getting rid of the fluid plus also naturally inducing labour...you could always give that a shot...?? ------------- http://lilypie.com">
