Hi
I am keen to move 2 week old DD to cloth nappies full time. I've got prefolds and bummis whisper wraps in size small, and she is approx 4.3kgs. The small size is supposed to fit from 3.5kgs.
I've been using the cloth naps a bit, but they seem really big on her(esp the wraps), and the valcro bit sometimes folds up and rubs on her tummy leaving a red mark.
Do you think I should just wait until she gets a bit bigger or are there any other suggestions on how to make them fit better?
She hasn't been leaking in the prefolds much (no worse than from the disposables).

I found that too with the bummis. I used the fleece wraps from snazzipants in newborn size and I have just stopped using them this week at 12weeks (5.8kgs) as they were getting too small. They feel lovely.

The covers are a slightly bigger sizing than the actual prefold. I have smalls on Bella (and she must be at least 6 kg now) and the velcro still meet together in the middle, so they seem to be a roomy fit. You can get bummis wraps in newborn I think, otherwise, as Nikki said, you can get covers from somewhere else...

I'm not sure if the rubbing is a sizing issue as I have the same problem when I use a prefold and a wrap on Caitlin (These are Real Nappies though, bought to trial at the Parent & Child Show).
I haven't been impressed at all with the system for a toddler as the prefold moves around too much and pinches her girly bits

Thanks guys
I've continued with using the prefolds, and its getting a heaps better. I think the rubbing thing might have been caused by me not putting the nap on very well.
Now I just need to convince DP to use them - he thinks they are too big and is quite attached to the damn sposies...
