I know that spas and hot temperatures are a no no for us pregnant ladies but what is a safe 'cold' temperature?

We have a non heated pool and its 19 degrees ( which is blooming freezing...!!), in the back of my head I have this thing about cold water and contractions, don't know if I've imagined it I mean pregnant people swim in the sea and thats cold?!

I have hunted the internet but can only find info on too hot not too cold, any help would be great as I'm dying to jump in...!!

Go for it. I swam throughout my pregnancy with Josh.

I was a puree feeder, forward facing, cot sleeping, pram pushing kind of Mum... and my kids survived!

I swam during my pregnancy too. I also had spas but turned the temperature down - same temp as a bath and just didn't let myself get too hot.

Its fine to swim but don't stay in the water until you start to shiver, i had problems in Fijim when i was about 21 weeks, Spent too long in the sea that was warm but not overly warm, and it took me more than 4 hours to stop shivering, you cannot regulate your tempreture as well as you could pre pregnancy. I went swimming in brisbane last month, wate r was cold but i only spend 20 minutes in and i was fine.
