Hi

I have just started to use MCN (bought some bamboo insert pea pods last week) and would really appreciate some advice I'm finding the pea pods ok but they seem to mark his chubby legs what brand to other chubby bubs mums find gentler on legs and what is the best night time nappy system?

Thanks in advance

Tracy

My boy has a small waist and chubby thighs. I find nappies that have classic looking elastic marks his thighs but ones with lastin dont.. lastin is usually used in many nappies with roll out fleece.. like tweedle nappies.. lastin is like a see through elastic which seems to be nicer on my boys thighs.

Dunno if I have explained that very well

My boy isn't all that shuby in the thighs but we are still working nights out for ourselves (and we have been using them for nearly 5 months now). At the moment I have Josh in a Petite size Fuzzi at night it is stuffed with 2 Peapod trifolds (the old one which I think is hemp not bamboo) 2 extra layers of Hemp and 2 3 layer microfibre inserts. That does Josh for about 11 hours and after that he wets through. So now I have (for the first tme tonight - thanks NikkI ) out an extra cover on Josh that is a Designer Bubs woolen cover - hopefully we won't have any leaks.

Hope that helps a little.

my boy has super chubby thighs!! and i find the rolled out legs and the honeychild naps are the best for not leaving too much of a mark on his chubs!

Caitlin has my thighs (poor love! lol) and I tried a couple of roll out fleece nappies (Happy Heineys and Tweedle) and both leaked something shocking!

Now we stick with Fuzzis and Honey Child

I only use the new HC inserts now and put 3 in her night nappy. Haven't had a leak yet and she sleeps for 12+ hours a night.

Some people find that they need to up size in the rise so they can stuff the nappy with heaps, but I've never needed to and Caitlin is still in her mediums.

Becks - Just a bit OT. But be careful with Josh in the petites. Once he starts crawling & walking they tend to droop down onto the hip and the crotch ends up between the knees and can rub (I found that one out the hard way )

This combo however doesn't work for a mega pee'er like my boy though. Using hemp is the only way we can keep him dry at night. Even 4 of those inserts doesn't work on my boy lol.. hemp makes for a smaller looking nappy too.

Thanks everyone Well it certainly can be confusing as it seems every child is different but I think I'm leaning towards the Honey child and perhaps bumgenius after checking out the web sites I guess it really is trial and error until you find a system that suits your child best.
