Can you not just go with the hospital midwives?

GandT yes that's one of the reasons...i think it's kinda important under the circumstances.. and yes i guess i could go with a hospital midwife though don't know how to go about that and don't know anyone who did that..would rather go with someone who i know is good i sorta prefer more individualised care..

I have a hospital based midwife and she provides fantastic individual care ... they are there for the whole pregnancy preriod and then do the baby visits afterwards ... the only thing is they arent there for the actual birth.....I love mine!

You can use chch womens hospital midwifes but you wont necessarily have the same one every time and there are no guarantees who will be on duty when you go into labour. Who is your current midwife (PM me if you dont want to say on here)

GandT..the first time it happened she laughed and said she thought she would just talk to me at next appointment...i never rang back i don't see why i should have to(i dont need her to ring back urgently just when she gets a chance..I've rung her 4 times in 24 weks) ..she could ring me back at any time..this time it was about medication and it's been two weeks and no reply..

and after last time i said to her if its something i just wanted to check..like when i had my dizzy spell..i said to her if its not a problem don't worry bout calling back..and she didn't..this time i said please call back and left number 2 weeks later nothing..and I just don't feel comfortable.. but i will see what happens tomorrow..

thanks my2angels..will see what happens after appointment tomorrow

good luck kawwww, i hope you get someone new! i would feel uncomfortable too with someone that doesn't return my calls! i used a lady from midwifery associates on manchester street (i think that's the right name) for both my kids and she was awesome! she's overseas now though unfortunately but her backup lady was nice too.......let us know how you get on

well the update:)

i had a very long talk with her about what has been bothering me and about not calling..she was really good about it.. i told her it was important to call me back and she apologised and gave me the information i needed.. I've decided to stay with her.. as I talked through everyone of my concerns and am confident that it will all work out now..thankyou all for your support and encouragement though!:)

thank-you:) she said he's measuring big(though i am sure i am a week ahead of dates) and that would make me 26 and I'm 28cm at the moment..from what i understand + or - 2 cms is fine..!! oh well not much i can do about it..

shes not rushing through the Gd test..so i assume at the moment she thinks everything is ok? Heart-rate 146 (strong she said ) and everything else good too.. so I'm glad it went so well esp. BP as I was sooooo stressed about it:)
