yes and no-one told me it cold happen...it got worse towards 20 weeks and then i gave in and shaved it..phew back to normal! ------------- Mum to two amazing boys! |

My tummy is back to normal now. In fact if anything less hairy...I used to get a few hairs beneath my belly button...now just stretchmarks

hmm i plan on shaving it tonight in the shower lol. its mostly fine and blonde but i have a dark snail trail.it might start to rival dfs soon!!

Lol - I am another with a hairy belly! I was quite shocked at that too. blardy better not be boys!! i want 2 more girls!! i am hoping its just the fact that there are heaps more extra hormones then normal lol.

Yeah I have a hairy belly now that I never had before, starting off plucking it but its a losing battle and I figure its just gonna get worse if I do that. completely normal. And I'm having a boy so I BLAME it on the testosterone as DH thinks I've just turned all hairy for no reason!

ive got a hairy snail trail with random extremely long hairs that look like pubic hairs poking out all over the place! Ive had that since my first pregnancy and its never gone anyway, i just shave them or pluck them..

i have my next mw appt on monday so i guess she will give me the form for another scan so in the next couple of weeks i should find out what they are.

I've got the hairy tummy too, mine are blonde and fine... Also fluffy cheeks, nearest my ears though. Apparently the hormone that causes hairs to fall out can be supressed during pregnancy. A friend said she shaved hers and now she still gets the hair belly and her daughter is 6(she had a girl so wasn't testosterone in her case). I'll just be putting up with it, not risking continued hairyness.

It is weird... I'm really lucky I don't really get hairs on my legs, and hardly any under my arms.... Mum has none under her arms or on her legs and arms. Maybe that is why I'm getting hairy cheeks to make up for it ;) |

I have a totally hairy belly too.
But my midwife told me under no circumstances should I shave it, as they hair will fall out towards the end/at the end of pregnancy. She said if you shave it'll just keep growing back, because after months of "fighting" the hair, your follicles will become trained to keep growing it, even after bubs is born. So I'm leaving it. If it doesn't fall out I'll look into waxing
