I am just wondering if anyone has used either the baby bjorn original or baby bjorn active carriers?? I bought a kapoochi front carrier when I was pregnant with Alex and it was so uncomfortable I only used it once or twice. Now with no 2 on the way I think I may use it a lot more, but want to get a comfortable one. The baby bjorn carriers are advertised as being really comfortable, but would like to know if anyone has used one, what they think, before I spend the money. I think the active carrier is about $220, so don't want to get it if its a waste of money!!

Hi there,
The active definitely has a lot more back support than most but people have commented that it is quite warm to wear in the summer months. Bjorn carriers are far easier to use than the Kapoochi.

Thanks babystuff. I never thought about how hot it could get with all those straps over your back. I see they have one called the 'air carrier' which is designed for hotter weather. It keeps baby cooler, but probably not mum!

I've got the BB Original carrier - no idea how much it was cos mum got it for me in the states. We used it quite a bit, and once you got it set up right for you it was really comfy and easy to get baby in and out of.

I just love my Bjorn Active. I got it when bubs was only a week old and he loved to snuggle into my boobs. he was a reflux baby and it was the only way settle him sometimes :-( Now he is just over 9kg and he loves to look around (facing outwards). Its great because it has the added back support and when you have it set up right for your body its so comfy. Its also great in that you can lay baby down (when they fall asleep)and just unclip the front of the pack. I love them so much I started to bring them into NZL at a reduced price. I only have one left from the last shipment at $195, check out www.scarecrowfarm.co.nz if you are interested.

maybe you could try to find someone who does hire stuff, not sure if you have a baby on the move?? I think that is the name you may be able to try a couple on - I realise it wont be the same as having a baby in it but it may give you some idea
