Hi ladies
I am new to the forum and still deciphering some of your abbreviations - so if you could help me with that, that would be great!
I am newly married but at 33 nearly 34 we are wanting and trying for a baby straight away. Just wondered two things:
1) whether you knew of where you can get CHEAP pregnancy tests? I will probably have to take one per week since my cycle is fairly irregular and this adds up over time!!
2) any tips you might have about getting pregnant that you know of and that you recommend? i will wade through the forum but any help will be greatly appreciated!
i found the cheapest tests were the free ones I got from the drs - she completely loaded me up when I told her we were trying.
But that stash has long since been used up so now I buy First Response 3 pack of strip tests from foodtown, whenever I remember. The are about $13ish a pack from memory. So much cheaper than going to the pharmacy.
The other ladies might be able to provide better advise on good websites to buy them from as well.
Hi newlywed, I also did & still do have probs understanding all the lingo, so have started new topic in general chat called ABBREVATIONS, check it out .
There is a posting under the Admin section which lists all of the common ones used here - I'm constantly looking things up in it.
I'm not the best person for advise on how to get preg given how long it took me to get my first BFP (bif fat postive hpt (home preg test))
But I am a new convert to the ovualtion tests, which I used for the first time this month and I am now preg (just found out yesterday) I bought them online and they were quite cheap and easy to use and have shown me I ovulate much later in my stupidly long cycle then i thought I did.
This the site that I bought my pregnancy tests off - if you have a credit card it's so worth it - I got 50 tests and 10 sample cups for AUD$46.85 (postage included with that) it worked out to be $58.08 NZ and they arrived really quickly!!
edited cos link not working - hope it does this time!!

Congratulations! I have heard so many good things about ovulation prediction tests and my cycle is long too so it's hard to calculate - it's on order. I hope we conceive as quickly you have!!!
