    Posted: 14 May 2007 at 3:06pm
I started bleeding from my miscarriage 11 days ago, and a friend suggested using ovulation tests 11 days after the start of this "AF" to detect ovulation.

Well I just did one and the test line came back very dark against the other line pretty much straigth away, sooooo my question is do I ring DH and demand he races home from work now or is there an optimum time thats best ie in the mornings?

With those tests you have a 2 day leeway so best to BD tonight and maybe tomorrow night for good measure. Good luck!!

Although not many people know this, OPK's can pick up pregnancy as well. I think that the hormones from your pregnancy are still coming down and that the test is picking them up. Have you finished bleeding from m/c? If you have stopped then I suggest you go talk to your Dr about having a blood test. As soon as your HCG's are below 3 you can start TTC again.

I used the quick peak brand from the chemist ($20 for pack of 6 tests) and first time could clearly see I was ovulating, next month all were negative (which was really frustraiting as couldn't tell when it was time to BD!!!)......so we did the BD every other day and what do you know.....fell pregnant that month.

So although OPK tests are useful sometimes you can't count on them working 100% - so go with your gut instinct and still BD when you figure the time is right!!!
