3 times now i have had this horifically painful stitchy feeling on my left lower tummy which has been checked out by the MW and she thought it was an infection but came back clear so she put it down to ligament stretching .
Now iv got it on my right side!! its sooooo painful all i can do is hold my breath and try not to cry!!!
i got a similar thing around the 35 week mark too but not that bad, if i curled over the pain eased a bit. does heat or cold help at all? and it is worse if you stand up/move quickly? if you can find what triggers it maybe you can reduce the pain. sory not much help
I had this when pregnant with Caden, I sat there and clutched my side and cried my eyes out, It was so damn painful I thought I was gonna split in two!
It was that awful round ligament pain! The only thing that seemed to help was a bit of panadol and heat sack where it was hurting until it passed.
it just seems to come on all of a sudden! today i was just sitting on my lazyboy doing nothing! lol and it definately is worse when i get up and move around! the other times iv got it i was walking around the supermarket! i looked like such a dork standing there huddled over in a busy supermarket! lol
sheza i will try panadol when it comes back! noone was home with me today and i couldnt even move so no panadol!
Have you eaten anything particular prior to these pains?
They sound like the pains I used to get after eating bread except the condition I have which causes the pains is not pregnancy related (but it can be triggered by pregnancy).
i think your a bit late for this to be a problem. I had sharp stabing constant pain that started at about 20wks and it was kidney dilatation. My DS was sitting or lying or pushing (doing something) on my kidneys. Even if it is that though they cant do anything about it other than give you pain meds. It all cleared up after bubs was born. Hope you feel better soon hun
