Hi everyone
DP & I have decided to start TTC our 2nd (my 3rd) very soon.
Our DD was completely unplanned considering my 1st DD was almost 15 when DD2 was born .

Now seen as I have never really "planned" for a baby I dont really know what I should be doing - if anything?
I have a mirena in at the moment which I will need to have removed, I had mild PCOS in my early 20's but am not sure if that is still an issue for me or not.

Any tips you can give me to help us get started and maybe get lucky and conceive early would be great.

Thanks

Thanks but I guess that is my problem...

Charting?? What do you do - what are you looking for???
I have googled a little bit but am totally confused

I guess it might just be a case of getting rid of the mirena and "trying" for a while.....

The best place to go is fertilityfriend.com. They have all the ins and outs of "charting" and have lessons on what to look out for and different methods of charting.

Well, all you really need to do is have sex Ideally lots of it round about 14 days before you usually get your period

If you want to get a bit more technical, though (and I really enjoyed learning what my body was doing and why, even though mine misbehaved a bit), charting is great. Somewhere a loooong time ago I remember a thread giving the basics of charting... I'll see if I can dig it up for you.

I knew jackcrap about charting and TBH I still know little lol but I found fertilityfriend awesome. Jump on TradeMe, buy a BBT (basal body temp) thermometer if you want to be super-accurate (I didn't work out you needed a special thermometer so I just used a normal one and its worked just fine ), take your temp at the same time everyday, in the morning, before you get up to pee, before you grumble at DH/DP to get his butt out of bed and get the baby so you can have an extra 5 minutes sleep (not that I do that of course ), basically before you're even properly awake - take temp. Write it on a pad next to the bed. When somewhat coherent jump on fertilityfriend, enter temp along with any other relevant data i.e irritable/sleep deprived/nauseous/etc, what your cervix is doing if you decide to check it annnd what your CM looks like (fertilityfriend explains what to look for just have a look through their free charting course) then BD every second day right through your cycle and you should be good to go It worked first cycle for me so FX it helps hun x

ETA coz I'm a crap speller!
