Topic: Night Sweats Posted: 19 November 2008 at 8:50am |
Is this common while breast feeding?
Our room is not particularly hot (it's warm for DS) but when I wake for a feed I am completely drenched in sweat. It's quite disgusting.
I don't feel hot at all, just sweating down my front and back.
Is it hormonal or should I see a doc or something?

I had the sweats really badly when I was breastfeeding. It was awful, but I put it down to those horrible things called hormones!

I had that too - lasted for a few weeks I think. It's fairly common (not that people usually mention it), I read about it somewhere while I was pregnant so luckily it didn't freak me out too much!

Oh, I'm SO getting that now, started a few weeks before birth and is worse now. I'm breastfeeding too.
I've never been a sweaty person so it's really weird to feel big drops of sweat rolling down my neck
PS, I have also started snoring, I blame hormones for it all

Yup, I was showering 3-4 times a day for a while, I was so grossed out by it.

So it IS normal! I was wondering!!! I had it for the first few weeks after Bethany was born. And I can't wear warm pyjamas like I would've this time last year unless it's REALLY cold, otherwise it reoccurs Good fun!

I don't think it's hormonal, I think it's all the making milk energy. My breasts are already quite hot just with this pregnancy.
