this afternoon,

I needed to bring Rhiannon home for a nap as she was just so grumpy...and the bloody nurses at the doctors surgery are useless as they can never get blood from me so i hve to make a trip to the labs...

so will have the results by tomorrow

I think its to do with making sure everything is back to normal and nothing left inside.... but with such an early m/c I wouldn't have thought it necessary? I m/c at just 2 weeks (what would be called 4 weeks) and my Doc just let me be.

i would have been about 7wks when i miscarryed last week

the bleeding is almost over...its just the tail end now...so i think he may just want to make sure...but as i dont even need to wear a pad or anything (sorry TMI) i am probably fine now

Hi,
Im so sorry to hear that you had a MC i had a recent one in june and i had to keep going to get bloods done and my doc said it was to make sure that my levels went down appropriately because if they didnt it may indicate an ectopic and also so i knew that my levels were back to nil so i could try again and mine went back down to nil within a few days.

Hope you feel better soon

They normally only do a repeat hCG if there is a chance the pregnancy was molar (cancerous). When I had a d and c in January they did tests on the tissue and found some abnormalities so I had to have a follow up hCG 4 weeks later to make sure my body was returning to normal.
