iv just got my mw to prescribe the mini pill but dont really know when i should start taking it??
TMI TO FOLLOW
I have got brownish/red smeared discharge and have since about 4 weeks PP.
So my question is do i start now, wait for this "bleeding" to be totally stopped or wait till my next period (if i get one as am breastfeeding)???

I just got told to start it at the 6 week mark. Looking forward to having a proper catch up and more Charlotte-snuggles soon

Don't wait for your period - it might be months away. You can start it whenever you feel ready, my MW also suggested around the 6 weeks mark was as early as you'd want to start. I think I started at just over 5 weeks cos I wanted some action
My PP bleeding had stopped by then, but I did get a period every second week for the first 8 weeks on the minipill

I didn't start until 4 months Post baby but MW told me 6 weeks is a good time to start (when you get their jabs, doc check etc)

haha we double protect so i think ill start it tonight then its 5.5 weeks PP and i want some action too lol

yea i dont know how ppl wait 6 weeks, we made it to about 4 both times. lol. if you are protected using condoms or something then 6 weeks is good cos its the magic number when your body is all back to normal as far as hormones and stuff go. just remember the mini pill isnt very effective and only protects 21ish hours a day so whatever you do never ever forget to take it bang on the same time every day. and try and get something more reliable once you stop bfing :)
