I am just wondering what mainly music is all about and if I could sort of do the same stuff at home with DS.
I live in a small town and there really is not a lot to do here other than playgroup and I need some ideas to entertain/educate him as I really have no idea!
Are there any other things that people can think of that I can do at home???

mainly music for us is about hanging with all the other kids but can easily be done at home as its basically just about singing along with music and often doing the actions. i think if you go to their website you can get the CD's too.

we go walking quite a lot to amuse DS and play heaps of building games with blocks and sing heaps of songs. although he is too young we still go through all the different colours of different blocks and count things.

the fisher price website is also great for ideas of things to do as well :)

Just having a look at the website now, might get some dvds and musical instruments even tho he is a bit little to play them lol!

That fisher price website looks like it has some good ideas thanks!!

PS Hope you don't have to wait for much longer for your wee boy...I remember when you were having Mack and you had to wait then too!

Aiden is 4 months and already joins in with the music sessions we attend- he holds the shakers, and drum sticks etc, and I clap his hands, dance with him etc. He loves watching all the other kids too!

I think you an just as much fun at home, singing, banging on pots etc movement and music is great for brain development!
We go to mainly music and the one we go to is a bit pushy about going to church on sunday... not really for us but they try every week
