Hoping for some help...
We had our first appointment with fertility associates this week.
DH's sperm sample results indicate that we wil be going down the ICSI path.
My main question is about timing - how long before things start happening?
I have been given a form for diagnostic - i am to go in on the 2nd day of my period,
we have another appointment at F.A in three weeks - the Dr said that the nurse will have to be present for that appointment,
he also said he is going to try to 'fast track' things for us,
How long does it usually take before they remove eggs? and start the ICSI process?
on what day of your cycle do they remove the eggs?
Am i dreaming to hope that it will start in the next couple of months?
HI artemis, im surprised they haven't explained all this to you at FA, these are fundamental questions. You really should ask the fert doctors for more information.
Timing wise It will all depend what protocol (cycle) they put you on, and whether they get you to take the pill first for a few weeks etc.
My two different cycles of IVF with ICSI varied in timing.
Egg collection doesn't (usually) occur until you have had the injectable drugs for the required amount of time and blood tests and a few scans to check on the state of things as you go. EC might occur a month after the day one of your cycle or it might not...I reckon you should phone FA and ask them some questions.
All the very best.
