DS has always been a fussy eater and picked at this and that. In the last few days though - since daylight savings ended- he has been STARVING. Waking up at 5am wanting his breakfast. He's basically eating 5 (the equivalent for him) meals a day.
Is this a growth spurt?
And any ideas for filling finger foods? I give him fruit, toast, bread, crackers, shredded chicken - those are things he will eat - but I need some more inspiration.
Cheese, fruit bread, dried apricots, shaved ham, luncheon, cheerios. DD likes toast with marmite and grilled cheese on top cut into shapes or homemade mini muffins. Cooked pasta, spag noodles are a fave here at the moment to, I just keep some from the night before and reheat them a little.
Thats all I can think of at the moment. Sorry don't know if its a growth spurt, but I am guessing its quite likely. DD has just gone through a really fussy phase but is ravenous at the moment which is great.
Jackson just had a noticable growth spurt. For a kid who never eats much, he was suddenly acting like he hadn't been fed in weeks.
A couple of days after that settled, we noticed that he can now reach the door handles and open the doors at home. So there's no denying that he was growing.
He's back to being relatively fussy, so I saw enjoy it while it lasts!
I'm not the best for giving finger food advice - we still give JJ the fattiest of foods as we're still trying to get some weight on him. But we give him nuggets, cheerios, nutrigrain, toast, crackers (oh-so-many-crackers) etc. He won't eat fruit and vege unless we can hide it in other stuff!
