I'd imagine you can. The danger with cheese as I understand it is mainly mould ripened and unpasteurized cheeses that are 'dangerous'. So it's the danger of food poisoning (which when you are pregnant you are slightly more susceptible to, and can have additional harmful effects on you and baby, which is also why the prohibition against deli meats and similar). So feta will generally be fine regardless (it's brine ripened), and cottage cheese, yogurt cheese and similar will also be fine. Since it's home made just make sure everything is clean and you pasteurize your milk at home before curdling and adding your culture.
Hmmm, I'd be wary if you have not made cheese before - need to keep things extra sterile. Frustrating I know! However your call... as someone suggested, perhaps ring the cheese making kit people and talk to your midwife as well.
