Hi there,
I'm very new in NZ and this is my first baby. Can anyone help me to share me what I need to do first? Find midwife or place to deliver? I search some close to my place, found interesting place - Botany downs primary birthing unit- why? because I prefer to deliver in the water and they have that service.
Please also feel free to share me midwife in your heart. I live in Flat bush area.
I think you're best to choose a midwife first of all - you can call as many as you like and talk with them on the phone before deciding who to stick with. When you speak to them just let them know that you would like a water birth and they'll tell you whether or not they can facilitate that.
Here's a link to a midwife in your area who does births at the Botany Downs unit you are interested in - http://www.healthpoint.co.nz/maternity/midwife-practice/deborah-young-midwife/
You feel pain all the time in your stomach?? I think you need to go and see a doctor to have this looked at.
I had Sheena Rice twice, shes located at Botany, lovely older lady but shes doesnt deliver at Middlemore but I wasnt bothered about who delivered my babies, I knew the hospital ones would be more than competent :)
