Anyone else had a surprise after an ultrasound?

I am currently 7 weeks pregnant today. We are super excited after trying for 10 months we are finally pregnant! I had a dating scan on Aug 5th that placed me at 5w6d and we were lucky to even be able to see the heart beating, and were told it was currently around 4mm big, as far as we were aware everything was good. We went to the first appointment with our midwife a few days later and she then told us that they found a 10mm cyst in my left ovary and that the would have another look at it when they do the next scan to see if it has changed. I often even before i was pregnant got worse pain on the left side, and even now that im pregnant im still getting pains on & off. Wondering if anyone else has had anything similar & what happened with it..
