Topic: argh double teeth cutting Posted: 26 February 2008 at 10:22pm |
she is a mega grot...cut two double teeth (top and bottom) on one side last week but the left ones look like they are cutting now and she has red rash on one cheek and is a mega grot, and has started coughing again....
put eucalyptus in her cot...but other remedies anyone...i have out of desperation given a dose of pamol the last two nights before bed...she usually copes well with teething without it but these are obviously nasty....
anyone????

Sorry mate, we are going through that now, except we got both our top ones around her birthday, and cutting the bottoms ATM. Childrens nuerofen is your friend for teething...
(was up 6, yes bloody SIX times with Missy Princess last night)

Jack has just cut his 2 Canines (no molars yet) at the same time. He is usually good as well but it has been 3 in the bed for the last week or so as I got sick of getting up. Last night was the first night he slept in his bed all night .
I resorted to Bonjela and Pamol once or twice as I didn't have anything else and wasn't sure what else to get. Good luck to the rest of you, I hope the teeth come through quickly!

Ohhh poor wee thing! I agree with Fattarts - childrens Nuerofen is great, apparently Ibuprofen is the best for tooth pain (or so the chemist said), and if you really need to you can give both pamol and Ibuprofen (best to wait a couple of hours before giving the other though).
When Elle starts cutting her next ones I am going to try the Weleda teething powder as a few of my friends have used it and they say its great. Bonjela I found is pretty useless with us (although a certain young girl seems to very much like the taste).
Hope it passes soon BS and Ella is back to her chirpy self fast.

The powder has been great for us! i would give it a go, especially as it is not as expensive as I thought it would be.

We have always cut multiple teeth at once so I feel your pain, and hers! Actually, I lie - DD's very first tooth came through on its own but that was the only one. She is currently cutting three eye teeth that we can see and one that we can't see but can feel. I agree with the sentiments on Nurofen / Ibuprofen, although we try to use Bonjela through the day and then the Ibuprofen at night if it gets bad enough. Am keen now to try the teething powder - I didn't realise it was meant to be rubbed on gums?
