Topic: going off the mini pill Posted: 03 March 2008 at 6:48pm |
no we arent TTC but I think it maybe affecting my milk supply so I am stopping it and see if it comes back up.
the past week or so some days I can barely get any milk out of my left boob which of course leaves Megan frustrated.

huh maybe that is what happened for me... I couldn;t relate it to anything else, but would have been around the same time... I am not argguing tho, and slowly increasing the formula topups that Luke gets during the day... he's a big boy and it is hard enough to keep up

Hiya,
Just thought id let you know, i was on the mini-pill noriday and we conceived Eden!
i took it religiously everynight (8pm) but somehow got pregnant,
i couldnt go on any other pill either, but have been told by friends that there is the option of an IUD, so you may be able to try that?

nah, noridays pretty reliable normally, about 93-94% affective, compared with the pill being 96-97%
but yup i agree nothing is 100% affective except no sex! but where is the fun in that?

I'm sure I boosted my supply with the 'wonder fudge' when I felt it was dropping off a tad and Blair was still searching for more. Damn stuff is kinda moreish thou, and I had to resist eating too much.

Hiya,
I have just had the same problem. I have gone off mini pill and bought a supplement called fenugreek. It's a herb and I think it's high in estrogen. I have had a breast reduction so have always topped up with formula anway but it seems to be working really well. I wish I had found it to start with! Aparently it's been around for a very long time. Anyone else tried it?
