Hi
My three month old daughter was sleeping really well through the night, with just one feed at approx 3-4. All of a sudden, she has gone back to waking every three hours and wanting food.
It's not her growth spurt, she had that the other week, and I don't think it's teething as she has no other symptons.
The only other thing that has changed is that she wakes earlier during the day from her sleeps (I'm still feeding her 3 hourly during the day) and is easily distracted while feeding.
Has anybody else had this problem and if so what did you do to fix it? (we can't use formula as she won't take it from me, and my DH doesn't have time to give her the bottle). Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Babies are very good at just up and changing their routines. My lil guy started sleeping through at around 3-4 weeks old and then a couple of weeks later went back to waking every 4hrs during the evening/night for a few months.
As for the day feeding just try and sit in her room or somewhere very quiet to feed to make sure she gets all that she needs rather than being distracted - my boy was very nosey and I had to do this for a while otherwise he didn't get as much into him. If she feeds more during the day she might sleep longer at night.
If she seems hungry for these feeds I'd just go with it and see if it rights itself in a couple of weeks. The other thing to try if you aren't is a dream feed.. going in and feeding her in the dark or with very light light before you go to bed yourself and putting her straight back to bed and see if that top up might help her sleep longer
