right firstly Ethan tested what he thought was positive and then he said negative on the allergy tests(yah) but then he said babies often dont develop as positive until 6 months....(he broke a capillary the first time or something)boo:( so we have to get retested at oneyear...in the meantime to trail Pepti(which we have and he's fine) ..so that's good..
he said c-section babies are more likely to get allergies and as i have them he was 'a sitting duck to get allergies' so he gave us polybac to give him mixed with pears every day its the bacteria babies normally get through the birth canal..apparently has bene proven to cut allergies in half..so that sounds good:)and i dont have to delay solids..just have to delay the five main groups...soy, nuts, gluten, dairy and something else till 1 so he will mostly have fruit veges and meat ..and other things carefully introduced..so (320$ later) it was actually quite good..and much better than i thought and he didnt cry during the appointment...and he got weighed 5.9 kg(little heffer:) ) that was with nappy on though
so all in all not so bad:) ! didnt know that about csection bubs:)! and they gave me 4 tins at 4$ each so thats good as well!
oh and does anyone know a good osteo in chhc..i had to cancel and she told me 'there wont be any appointments for a long time ' available.. i was thinking of the one at medlab who is supposed to be good?

Don't worry about it, just buy me a coffee and muffin sometime
I was just having a look at that docs website, he looks really good, think I will have to save up my pennies and take Spencer along. Might wait till 12 months so that the test is a bit more accurate though.

yeah he said between 6-12 months it shows up..not sure if you have to be referred to go there..i so forgot to ask him about the child disability thing..do you think i can still get it?and i can pay by cheque by going to the biolab place in sockburn.. takes 2-3 weeks to get number though and an extra few days as they get it then post it to me! so I'm going to need more than 4 tins..lol..

Great news KA! Haven't been keeping up to date much but I'm glad its a lot better than previously thought. And yay about not having to delay solids!
I hadn't heard that about c-section babies, but I would have thought that those that needed to have them would be given that information.
And woohoo for your little heffer! He's doing pretty well considering my wee midget is only 6.06kg at 13 weeks!

You can get your gp to fill out the child disability thing. With the neocate as soon as they had the money the delivered the tins the same day, the script went straigh to them it didn't come to me first, they just phoned me up for payment. You might be able to go down and pay with cash and pick them up?

nope..has to be cheque or credit card(says so on the stupid bit of paper and it says we have to get 3 months at once..but as you say i dont think we do.. ) and also that they get the number photocopy it and then post it to me....grumble grumble..though she did say i can go get more tins ... i have a pamphlet on 'subsidised milk powder information'...sucks as i know they dont need to post it to me..could make it much quicker..*grumble grumble* for 320$ you would think i would get speedy service:)!
yeah they will ring me but after the stupid place posts the number and then rings me (2-3 weeks....hmmm)they have to do first lot then doc does the rest..
